Sigiriya Village Hotel

We spend three nights and had a great time. The hotel is like a village in the middle of the jungle with lots of little bungalows. Ours had a huge and new bathroom. Within walking distance to the sigiriya rock. Very peaceful and quite. Staff is very friendly. We organised a safari with them and it was a fabulous experience; the spa is also good. But hands off the a la carte menu - the buffet is much better quality!! Bike rental prizes are ridiculous - especially considering the state of the bikes ... All in all a great experience!

Truly great hotel: lovely, spacious and clean A/C rooms, spread out in a park area, complete with a pond, lots of trees and - of course - monkeys. The swimming pool and restaurant have a great view on the Sigiriya rock fortress. Service is impeccable - the waiters are literally waiting to assist you to get seated or to remove your empty plate. We spend a wonderful two nights here, and I would certainly recommend this hotel because of its atmosphere, location and very decent food. The only bad thing is the poor wifi signal (only in the restaurant/lobby area).

Fantastic location situated in very close proximity to the Sigiriya rock fortress. However rooms are very average and the toilets are not that great either. This is sad because there is so much potential. Food was good. As far as guest activities go there is nothing much either. Not great value for the money you pay.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The website and its photo's definitely don't do it justice. Beautiful, great, friendly service and very much in an eco-friendly style. Very close to Sigiriya Rock (about 15 mins drive).

We recently spent 3 days at SIGIRIYA VILLAGE, and it definitely exceeded our expectations.
The staff are among the friendliest people I have ever met and they cannot do enough for you, they really make this hotel special.
We loved the gardens and pool area, it was never crowded so you really get the feeling of having your own space. The food was amazing; a great mix of Sri Lankan, European and English food, so something for everyone. There was always a good choice and the waiters are polite, efficient and really good fun!
Our room was lovely and kept clean and tidy at all times by our room boy - we slept really well in the comfortable bed and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower.
All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend the Palms and hope to return sometime soon -
Our Special thanks to Manoshi, ( GRO ) Pavithra, & Management at Sigiriya , Keep it up

We stayed here as part of our Sri Lanka tour. The half board option was good value with a great breakfast buffet. The dinner buffet was also pleasant enough although not the best Sri Lankan cuisine. A beautiful location with lovely rooms and plenty to do if only staying for a few days. Try the local cafes for authentic food.

Lovely hotel, very welcoming staff, food was excellent, buffet style. It was a lovely village in the jungle, highly recommended!
The rooms were just lovely and very spacious with a fab bathroom and huge shower. The grounds were lovely, there are monkeys hanging around but not intrusive, the hotel certainly appear to have them under control.
