Great location and nice concept of rooms in little huts down pathways but the pathways were very badly lit and as it rained non-stop for our stay, we couldn't see the enormous puddles on the path. Also there weren't enough umbrellas in the hotel and we often had to manage without.
The roof leaked in the room and my son plugged in a phone to charge and got a bad electric shock from the socket which shorted the electricity - very dangerous. The shower was poor, with very low water pressure and the lighting in the room almost non-existent.
Staff were friendly but busy. The food was ok. This hotel has potential but needs a lot more investment and thought about what the customer needs.

The hotel is placed in a great local. Very close to the "rock" and in thee middle of a lusty and very nice nature. But the rooms are a bit old and there's renovation to do. Prices are good but on the high side. The restaurant offer a wide range of Sri Lankan choices.
The service at the bar and restaurant was average except when you got attended by trainees that were very helpful and smiling. The more senior staff was uncaring...it's a shame because this place could be perfect.

Stayed here for 3 days before Christmas and the hotel was fully booked, but we got an excellent service anyway. There is a lot of attentive staff to take care of you in the restaurant and the breakfast and dinner buffet was good and varied.

The pool is nice and the rooms quite big, but a bit outdated. Great location - close to Lions rock.

Wifi in the reception area was not working properly - it was very slow.

The restaurant offer a wide range of Sri Lankan choices; buffet suitable for all ages and purses.

Positives: Rooms were large: clean and with basic amenities (a/c, fan, lights). Very friendly staff. Very serene with birds chirping and natural sounds of birds throughout the day. If you are lucky, you might catch the Hanuman monkeys feeding themselves and also the occasional iguana. Nice small pool to relax in. There's a bar too.
To improve: rooms are slightly old and not convenient for people on wheelchair, especially the toilet doors are too small. Barely could make it through the main door. Food in restaurant a bit too salty. No internet

After a long flight to Sri Lanka, and then a longish drive to out first hotel, we were all a little weary. The hotel welcomed us and put us in a very spacious double room. It was well appointed, but not luxury, bedroom with fan, air con, shower w/c etc.
The bed was very comfortable.
The hotel amenities were well laid out. A nice swimming pool with Pool Boy in attendance, a spacious bar with seating area, all open plan. The meals were from a buffet and they were excellent. A very wide choice of both European and Sri Lankan dishes was on offer.
On one of the evenings, after a long day sightseeing, we decided to pamper ourselves and have a massage. This was one of the best massaged i have experienced, head to foot literally with a steam bath to finish off. Extremely relaxing!
They have wireless internet in the lobby at 200 rupees an hour (very reasonable), and room service was excellent. We cannot fault this hotel at all. Well worth a stay.
