Service, food, location were all great. Grounds and room beautiful along with the room of Sigiriya Rock. Good base for cultural triangle and safaris. Only complaint was buffet is over priced. Monkeys dropping fruit on our roof in the morning was fine as they were late risers!

What a wonderful experience returning to our room to find monkeys on our terrace! The setting of this hotel is spectacular - birds, monkeys, lizards are just walking around freely. Hotel lets itself down at weekends when it block books rooms to locals who sit in large circles in the garden in front of the rooms and sing and play drums till the early hours - impossible to sleep and such a shame. Weekdays I would recommend the hotel - food is good and buffet choice wide. Staff friendly especially the barstaff.

We stayed here as part of a tour of Sri Lanka. It was recommended by the tour company but wasn't really our thing. However the rooms were pleasant enough, if a little dark and dated. It was amazing seeing monkeys in the trees outside the room too. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of choice but dinner was expensive, as was the souless bar so we spent our evenings in a lovely little cafe down the road.

Lovely peaceful hotel, with bungalow type rooms spread out in lovely grounds. The rooms are interconnecting which is great if travelling with kids. The food was very tasty with a good selection of Asian & 'Western' food. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We stayed 2 nights. The garden was beautiful. The room was clean and large. The food was avarage. It is close to the rock. The pool is OK. We took a village tour and it was a fun for us. I advise to do that.
