Just coming back from Sigiriya, a group of nine of us (6 whom were Sri Lankan) opted to go to this restaurant. It was Christmas Day and at the entry of the restaurant was a funny guy dressed in Santa waving us in. We thought it would be an ok stop off as it was signed as 350 RS each for a buffet.
There we're clean toilets which was a rare site in Sri Lanka.
However the buffet was extremely limited. No chicken. Hardly any fish. Some beans and mostly white rice. There were no desserts.
We sat down to eat and half way through our meals, the manager comes out and days there is a 10 percent service charge on top of the advertised price. There were several exchanges in Singhala stating that the sign was 350, but there was no way out.
The food was average, and basically just rice. For 500 RS each with simple drinks, it was a disappointment.
Definitely not advised unless you're desperate for a toilet and food
