We stayed in Sigiriya cottage for one night. Arrived late afternoon and were greated by Chandara, the lovely owner, who was super helpful, arranged a trip to Minneriya park for the very same day, explained all there is to know about the climb and arranged cheap tuk tuk rides. We stayed in a fan room which was nice and big and very well priced but nothing fancy, the area is nice and quiet. The next day after the climb we were served breakfast (even though it was well past noon) and the staff helped us find the bus to our next destination. We had forgotten a hat on the jeep the day before and Chandara had arranged the tuk tuk driver to bring the hat from the jeep driver on our way to the bus, and then called us to make sure we had received it! This was truly one of the most helpful and friendly places we've visited in Sri Lanka.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights with our six month old baby. It's in a very peaceful spot and the room was immaculate. The manager, Chandra, was extremely professional and helped us to arrange tours and transport - the owners are very lucky to have such a capable chap at the helm! We would be very happy to recommend this hotel if you are after peace and quiet and want a break from other travellers!

We stayed here one night and it was just so peaceful and serene. It's in a very quiet location amongst the trees and the birds. The rooms were very clean and spacious but don't expect a TV the entertainment comes from just sitting out on the porch listening to the wildlife. You can also go for a walk to the lake. The manager was excellent. Very helpful, friendly and courteous. The food was very good but you can't expect a varied menu. Very good value for money. I definitely recommend staying here to rest up before or after climbing the fantastic Sigiriya Rock.

An restful 3 night stay here. A beautiful setting and do recommend getting up early and taking a walk to the lake and seeing a little of rural life awakening.

The room we stayed in is getting a little old around the edges (bathroom could use a little renewal), but the room was spacious (high ceilings) and clean. The bed was comfortable and sleep was deep. We had a simple dinner: not bad but not something to write home about. The staff were all pleasant to deal with.

No WIFI here.

One big draw back due to new hotels in the area tapping into the energy lines, the lights in the room fade on and off until 9ish each evening which made it impossible to read without feeling rather sick.

It is set back, away from the main village, which makes it very quiet.
Rooms are decent enough for this price range.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming, arranged a birthday cake at a birthday and smile a lot.
Food is good, but don't expect choice or a elaborate buffet.

There are only 4 rooms, and a very big walled garden, so you have your personal space.

Spacious clean rooms, friendly staff. Rooms look out onto a beautiful garden. The two friendly resident dogs will take you on a sunset walk to the lake for a view of the rock. Staff able to assist with trip to Dambulla cave. Enjoyed our stay here very much.
