The Polonnaruwa Resthouse is located on a promontory in the lake. It clearly dates from colonial times, and was not refurbished since. It is the place to be for lunch when visiting the magnificent sights at Polonnaruwa. Lunch itself is a middle of the road buffet style thing, nothing special. But again: being next to the museum the location is perfect.
