We stayed 4 nights as our first destination in Sri Lanka and I have to say it was an excellent start. Thomas was fantastic, friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us really. First day showed us around and gave advice, then sorted a tour guide (Anile) great guy for trips to Sigria / Dumbala. Gave us a real insight into Sri Lankan life and showed the delights of Sri Lankan food (Mango curry for the win).
It's a little out of the way (advise bringing a torch for the last bit of the walk at night) and you're surrounded by jungle noises adding to the ambience but you feel at home and safe. Kandy itself has to be done by all that visit Sri Lanka not just for the cultural
significance but also because it's a gateway into how people are and what you can expect on the rest of your travels.
Thank you to Thomas, Tobi and all those that made our holiday start in the best manner it could and expect a pack of UNO cards to be with you soon :)
