Stayed for 3 nights earlier this month with my girlfriend. This is Waruni's family home. We felt very welcomed. The rooms are spacious and modern. Wi-Fi was decent, a rarity in Sri Lanka. Vista House is located about 15 minutes outside of Kandy so you are reliant on tuk-tuk drivers to bring you about. Ask for the driver Raja if you need transport. He is a very genuine and honest person (one day he wasn't available and we had to use a different driver who tried to take us to every tourist trap in Kandy). Raja even gave me a tutorial on how to drive a tuk-tuk.

The breakfasts at Vista House were great. Every morning there was something different to eat. A lot of Sri Lankan specialities. Staying at Vista House was the best thing about our time in Kandy. Thank you to Waruni for her help and hospitality.

We had the pleasure of staying at vista house for 2 nights, great location away from the hustle and bustle of the city - highly recommended. If your in kandy we would stay here! Our host was amazing and sorted out our every need and was very helpful. Breakfast was great too!

The room is basic, but very much acceptable. The bathroom was also quite standard. Overall we felt that the price was a bit too high though for what you get. Location wise the guesthouse is up in the mountains, so you are obliged to take a Tuktuk drive from kandy. On the other hand, breakfast was really good ! The owner made us an amazing fruit juice of passion fruit and pineapple and she prepared pancakes for us ! One of the best breakfasts I have had in Sri Lanka. She's very friendly and she kindly offered us a free Tuktuk ride to the station where we needed to catch our train.
