The very clean and nice room with a great view was only topped by the amazing delicious curries (more than 8 and they prepared them just for the 2 of us!!!) and the helpfulness of the owner Fayez. He sent us a pick-up to the station (though we haven't asked for it), managed to arrange seats for us in the observation train to Ella, which haven't been available at the railway station!! He nearly acts as a travel agency- though he is not charging anything for it. Maybe thats the reason why it was okay to spent a little more money than we would usually spent.
Very nice owner, very nice staff!

Came from the west from a absolutely lovely family and this might color my review a bit. Have to agree with some of the other reviews about rude/not very helpful owners. Overpriced, and I had certainly no view to the lake. The room is spotless, as the rest of the housing, but lacks very much charm! Wifi is really god. A bit overpriced in any way (even the breakfast was almost 500 + servicecharge, never ate.. so I can't say anything about that). You might like it if you're german.. one of the owner is...

My stay at the Sri Lankan Inn was a perfect one. The owner was awaiting my arrival and gave me all the information about sightseeing Kandy. He was really helpful. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. As was the bathroom.
In the evening they serve a really nice buffet. It's the perfect way to get introduced to the Sri Lankan kitchen. I loved it.
These people really made me feel at home and make we want to return here with my family. joanie

Faiesz was a superb host, warm, funny, informative, generous. The rooms were in excellent condition, bathrooms clean and functional. Dinner was freshly prepared and served by Faiesz and the couple running the kitchen. We had about 8 varieties of curried dishes, each a distinct culinary experience. The night views were pleasant with an endless breeze blowing up from the valley below. All in all, an excellent home-away-from-home and value for money.

Room Tip: Just ask Faiesz.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sharon Inn. The hotel is spotlesslessly clean and the food is amazing! It was a good place to meet fellow travellers and there was a great atmosphere over dinner. We found the owners welcoming and it really was great value. Its a 15 minute walk to get into Kandy or a short tuktuk journey. Fully recommend.
