Stayed here during a short trip to Kandy. Hiking can be a little effort if you have been out of practice for a while but once you get there it is comfortable and a very friendly place. We came back pretty late one night of Pharera and though the staff was asleep they did make a generous effort to come answer the door.

Breakfast was also very good and on the day we had to leave they offered to make breakfast early for us.

p.s. on subsequent days we just took a Tuk tuk instead of making the hike.

Room Tip: They all looked pretty standard and similar.

We stayed here for a total of three nights in August 2013 and found it to be excellent in terms of value for money and service. The rooms were clean and spacious. It had the feel of a Homestay and the staff were very helpful and good to us. There is a lot that some more expensive hotels could learn from this place's focus on customer service. We stayed in the upstairs room that leading to the patio on the first night, and one room near the dining room for the rest. Everything was fine. Excellent value and service.

It is very easy to criticize something about the hotel service but you should keep in mind what kind of amount that you pay for that particular price. Days Inn Kandy B / B Hotel price is very cheap when you comparing to other hotels around that area. Air Condition, Hot Water, Television, Free Wi Fi and furthermore no Service Charges as well. It is very close to the Kandy town from the Days Inn and it is highly recommend to have walk through thelake from the hotel it self which is very nice.

Two young guys who is in charge of this places is very friendly and they are always on your steps as soon as you ask for them. You will not get the normal hotel feeling once you are inside the Days Inn but the feeling of your own home.

I have no hesitation to recommend this small place to anyone who is visiting beautiful Kandy and save some money to use it for some other priorities.

Stayed at this place for 2 nights. The room was very clean and fresh, with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, wi-fi, TV and even some magazines for reading. The bathroom was neat, with 24 hour hot water. The people running it were great, and very accommodating. It's a very cosy guesthouse, and amazingly good value. The only minor downside is the distance from the city - it's a short tuk-tuk ride, but a bit of a hike into the hills if you wanted to walk it (about 20-25 minutes). Nevertheless, it was a great place to stay, and was the best guesthouse I stayed at during my travels in Sri Lanka.

We where here for 3 nights, and from the moment we arrived we where treated with such service and friendliness.
The rooms where of a decent size, with the only down side being no mosquito nets, The first night we got bitten a few times so the next had to go to bed with insect spray on and top up during the night.
We provided our own breakfast, but the staff would do the dishes for us. The hotel food is brought from outside, but is very tasty.
There is a communal siting and dining area, and the staff allow full use of the kitchen at any time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and this is very good value for money with exceptional service!

Room Tip: room next to dining area can be a bit noisy at times

At first glance the tourist guest house seems very basic, but during your stay through friendly and helpful service from the kind Days Inn staff catering to your every need, and the homey/ cosy feel, both in the social areas and the bedrooms, you soon come to see the why the Days Inn is the perfect choice. For such a little price it really is the best place to stay.
