The Queen’s Hotel with a history of over 160 year was originally a Governors Mansion.
What was wonderful about the hotel was its location - right in front of the Temple of the Tooth and the Kandy Lake. All the shops and restaurants are a hop step and jump from the hotel.
We stayed 3 nights in Room 124 and were very happy with the accomodation. The room and toilet was spacious, well lit and clean. The wooden floors were polished. The view was towards the temple. The bus stand on the opposite side of our window did attract some noise, but it did not bother us. We slept quite early (8.30pm) and had 8-9 hours of sound sleep!
Except for breakfast which was a good spread, we had all other meals at The Pub and White House.
