Hotel Topaz supposedly a 4 star hotel does not live up to the rating. Whilst the service deserves 5 stars and the staff are incredibly helpful the actual hotel facilities need an urgent revamp.
Be prepared to only use the pool. Other facilities are not worth mentioning.
Bathrooms could be better maintained.

Fabulous views .Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and clean and accommodate Mountain Views.Pool is quite large and clean.
Fantastic meals in large portion sizes.Will be back... the hotel is definitely worth the price. I would recommend this hotel for anyone.

We initially booked Tourmaline but it was full due to some system glitch, the duty manager took us to The Topaz where we were welcomed like the royals. The room was great. views were amazing. excellent staff. Delicious breakfast. Definitely 10/10.

The hotel is located at the top of the hill, i do not think if there is any other hotel in the neighborhood which provides this kind of view. On arrival, they let you light candles as part of the culture, which i found very welcoming.
The rooms are very clean and spacious. The guest relation ladies were very helpful and informative about the hotel. Pool is located a bit outside but the view is amazing too from there. May a signboard could help with that, as we went other to the garage side first.
Best place to spend our evening was at the terrace, overlooking nearby mountains. Service was a bit slow but the staff was very friendly and suggestive. They also serve Shisha, which takes time, as they get from the lobby lounge. The food was not the top notch but an overall good experience. Definitely a place worth to come back for the stay

Most serene view in kandy the hotel is on top of the most beautiful hills in the city. The food at tne hotel was excellent espeically the sri lankan curries. The staff was very responsible for everything during our stay. Special thanks to Eranda and staff!
