The hotel is a nice, properly maintained property. Rooms were clean. The food was tasty and had a reasonable variety.
We had a small issue with the payment and meal plan initially. The front office staff and the cashier refused to upgrade the meal plan to RO to HB and also refused to change the payment method to a credit card that had an ongoing promotion. They billed to the initial RO rate I booked through the hotel's official site. Even though the booking confirmed, the payment was not passed through. But they insist not to utilize the credit card offer which was running. I made the payment and made a complaint to the duty manager (Mr. Mahesh, also he is the restaurant manager) and he went out of his way to explain the situation and changed the meal plan and well as payment method as per my request and reversed the initial payments. Big thanks goes to him and he managed to defuse the unpleasant situation created by the front office staff and cashier.
This is a good example that a great location and property can be less attractive by the bad attitude of staff and how a manager with the right customer service attitude can change the total perspective of a guest. Thanks Mahesh ..!
