It was excellent. But fee is too high for Indian. The staff are very cooperative. Many things to learn about Tea industries. Shopping center of the museum is good

Thank kkdas

I had big expectations with this museum, but we finished our visit in 15 minutes...not worth to go up the hill this distance. Empty floors...no sigh of any tea drinking possibility but also no sign of much to see. I have not seen one leaf of tea in the whole building...not even provisory...When i asked if it is possible to go to a plantage...i was sent to Front Office to agree...Front office was an another person (beside 3-5 fully bored guids at the entrance) i suppose for an additional fee as we learned in SriLanka...No, it is better to visit a real tea factoy. And by the way...British should have stayed in this country longer...probably some development would have been in investing to new machines last century and the factories would not use the same machines like in the museum...from the 19th century....

This is situated on top of the famous "Hantana" mountain . Old tree factory has been converterd to a museum . Manage by Ceylon tea board . There are three floors here . Fourth floor has a tea canteen . Third floor has tea shops . You can buy from here .other two floors have machines and roller use for tea production. Also have sections of tea research board items and Farther of tea " James Taylor's " items and pictures .. Have to pay a nominal amount to see the place . Good tea borad guide also available to explain the stuff

Maybe im not passionate enough about the tea process. Our guide was fantastic though, very friendly and knowledgeable, wish we could have paid her instead of the museum
