“Great place, Very friendly and helpful staff”
Reviewed April 29, 2012

We stayed only 1 night in this resort. We were a family of seven. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of the way to make us comfortable especially the older people in our group. The breakfast was very good, simple and filling. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the view good. The place was overall charming and definitely worth another couple of days stay.

Room Tip: room on the top is very very large and has an excellent view!

We stayed at Nature Walk for two nights last week - me, my wife and two daughters. It was one of the most relaxing and friendly places we have ever stayed!
The rooms are beautiful, ours having a view, complete with passing monkeys, over rainforest treetops, down the valley to Kandy. You feel you're many miles from town, though it's only a 10-minute walk!
The resort is small enough that you feel it's all yours, yet lively enough to be fun. The staff could not be more helpful, yet leave you to enjoy your break.
We ate in the resort both nights - good, wholesome food, and plenty of it! Breakfast was relaxing and interesting, with a variety of fresh local fruit, freshly-squeezed juices, simple cooked food (excellent omelettes!) and a bright pleasant environment in which to start your day.
Access to Kandy is simple by road (although the traffic system makes you go round the lake - no great hardship!) but even simpler by foot, taking only 5 minutes to get to the lake, with the town straight ahead.
We will go back to Kandy - we didn't give ourselves enough time to explore this wonderful region. When do, we will stay at Nature Walk Resort.

Room Tip: Top floor, front. If not, first floor front. They're all good.

Loved the house, the views, the dinner and the owners were very friendly. Ella is a great place to chill out and the climate was wonderful after the heat of Galle.

We stopped there for 4 nights. close to the city-aroud 5 min on tuk tuk, 10-15 min walk.
staff was helpfull and friendly. breakfast nice. rooms clean and tidy but not all of them have got aircon, but a fan instead. there are plenty monkeys around so keep windows closed as they recommend ;)
if you want to go somewhere and hire a car/taxi ask the boss he is able to sort it out for u for not big money- we paid about 25 pounds for all day trip to tea plantation and the city neuvara eliya. there are busses too or cheap tuk tuks- never agree with their first price ;)

Room Tip: with air con would be better than with a fan

We had a really lovely stay here for four nights at the end of march. We had a great room with a balcony and air con. The staff were really nice and helpful, the breakfasts were great. Highly recommended. Thanks to everyone there.

Room Tip: Go for a balcony room on the front if you can but beware of thieving monkeys!

Comfortable, clean spacious rooms and nice airy communal areas. Good breakfasts, helpful staff. Bordering the nature sanctuary so easy access to walks. 10 minutes walk from the Temple of the Tooth.
