We enjoyed the show. However, don't expect a spectacular show. If you have an hour to spare during your kandy visit schedule then go ahead. Otherwise, you can skip the show.

Nice to see the traditional dance and costumes the rest around it is disappointing.

The performance we saw was in the function room of a hotel with everyone lined up in party chairs facing a very poorly decorated stage.

Very aimed at tourists and as the chairs are all on the same level if you are at the back of the room it is impossible to see or take pictures nicely.

Something useful to know is that it doesn't appear that you need to get there early to get good seats, all seats seemed to be preassigned so make sure to ask for front row seats when you or your agent are buying tickets.

Would be much better in a more historic location or proper theatre setting.

The dancing and costumes themselves were nice however. People seem to be wowed by the firewalk, I didn't honestly think it was that special and it seemed weird that the whole group was ushered into the street to watch it (no longer allowed to take place inside for fire safety reasons understandably).

If someone asked me if they should go I would probably still say yes just because if you have never seen something like it before its a new experience (so was nice for my children for example) but the whole thing could (and hopefully will be) drastically improved.

After visiting all the sites and moving your legs. There comes times to take a pause and stretch your legs.

Entourage consists 6 male and 5 Female Dancers/Performers. They are acrobatic, synchronized dancers. Music instruments are not of modern era but are able to produce nice hearing music.

In the end there are some fire related activities which is safe. But you can see the amount of dedication and practice they have put in to get it done. Walking on burning coal, rubbing burning sticks on body etc etc.

RECOMMENDATION:

Try to get front seats.

The dance was really boring. Dancers had no synchronization with each other and it is really hard to know what the dance is referring to. It costed LKR1000 but it wasnt worth it. Dance is followed by a fire walk

The first part of the dance seem like deja vu, like cultural dances we have seen in many countries, but the fire dance and fire walking is really quite good. There is one dance done by a clownish individual, which is supposed to be funny, but really went on too long and seemed a little creepy, but if you can get through that then the fire dancers make the show worth the money
