Stayed for 2 nights in June. The view and bird sound in the morning from the verandah's is just fantastic also when paired with amazing Sri lankan tea ( best had black). The owner Indira is a very warm person, she runs a kindergarten school as well on this property. The beds are not the typical hotel quality but once u sink in after a tiring day of sight seeing, then one really does not care. The Sri lankan breakfast on both days was very good and one also gets toasts and omlettes etc. if u are coming at night, the driver would need to speak to the owners to get a hang of the location as the property is on a hillside road and deep in. The drive in at night can frighten you the first time as you may feel that the car will go off the cliff any moment !!

Room Tip: Ones facing the verandah and not the inside ones

Wonderful location and beautiful setting. We went there just before the New Year's celebration and found the owner really busy. BUt she made all possible to make our stay very nice. Really recommend it.

This is a lovely little guest house, about a 10 minute walk up from Kandy. It's a bit steep coming up, but there are tuk-tuk drivers waiting near the bottom. There is a small school attached to the guesthouse, which was great for my two boys (aged 2 and 5) as they were able to play with the children.
Walking into Forest Glen is a little like stepping back in time and reminded me of an old English house from 50 years ago. The lounge/dining area is a really relaxing and peaceful place to sit and read, whilst the terrace offers views over the hills. Indra is a friendly host and cooks delicious Sri Lankan food. She also provides an ample breakfast.
The rooms were spacious and clean and the best thing for us was that were were able to get two rooms with an interconnecting door.
It is possible to hire a reliable driver from the guest house, though I think there are better rates available in the city. They will also arrange a driver to come and pick you up from the airport (about 8000 rupees)

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the hills

A really nice place which is just a 10min stroll away from bustling Kandy; located in the hills so make sure to take a tuktuk up there!
Very quiet and spacious, nice veranda but no wifi. Clean rooms with decent beds.
Although the owner was nice we felt that she was not as genuinly friendly as most Sri Lankans we met on our trip, hence the 4 stars.
