The authenticity of the bungalow and the atmosphere war very good. Staff are helpful. It took sometime for staff to reply to emails. The caretaker is helpful. There is parking for the a vehicle on the property.

Location is quite good. The room is ok, spacious for two people. You also have a kitchen you can use anytime and a large living room. Staff was nice.
Wifi passwords were not working, bed wasquite soft and uncomfortable in my opinion. Toilet need a refurbishment. Water is scarce.

Charming old style property full of family momentous, including tusks of former family elephants and photos of semi royal dignitaries in the days of British rule. Contact Dan is helpful, intelligent and easy to talk to.

Room tip: We stayed in a room just off the rear (formerly front) balcony. This was immediately next to a small nursery.

This bungalow is the pinnacle of Kandyan hospitality. Very friendly and delightful family. The house is furnished with over 150 yr old antiques. 100 m from Kandy lake. Clean rooms with toilets. Top floor has a kitchenette. Meals provided upon request. Bus stop close by. Highly recommended.

My friend and me stayed only one night at Lake Bungalow but we really enjoyed it. Spacious and beautiful rooms, Mosquito protection, towels, clean bathroom and wifi. Especially the beautiful terrace is perfect to get a little rest from long hikes or a long day in a bus. Thanks a lot to Dann for everything, he was helping us with great patience to plan our further trip. Furthermore he showed us a "secret mountain" with a beautiful view of Kandy. Don´t forget to ask him about his interesting family story and his 10 first names ;)
