We arrived at the end of the huge annual festival and ALL accomodation was fully booked. We stayed 1 night at the rest hotel across from Sarras and then moved to Sarras the next morning after checking out literally every other guesthouse in the lonely planet and more. Sarras was by far the nicest in the budget -mid range.
The owners gave us a huge room with 3 double beds and mosquito nets for a great price and were very friendly and helpful with regards to everything- travel advice, restaurant advice, planning our onward destination etc.
The only fault was the number of mosquitoes around but that was just because the rainy season had just finished and not a fault with the hotel. Upstairs there were hardly any mozzies so we spent alot of time hanging out on the verandah there with the other backpackers we met.
The staff were wonderful with our baby and the hotel dog was very friendly with her aswell. A great place to stay!More
