What an amazing experience! From the time you step in to the hotel until you leave everything is super great. The staff are some of the warmest people you will meet, they will ensure you are taken care of at all times. Every small detail is looked in to by them. The food is out of this world as well and you can just sit there and eat all day! The beach is excellent and for a hotel close to Galle this must be one of the very few hotels that has a safe swimming sea right in front of the hotel and it is not full of people. I would recommend it to anyone, it is really a great place that you would want to keep coming back to!

I could just say 'food food food' as the meals are so special - if you went here once in 6 months it would be a real treat - to eat this wonderful fresh food every night is amazing - and such an extensive menu you really want to stay longer to try it all! The service is perfect - attentive but unobtrusive. My husband did the half day cooking course and really enjoyed the time with Chef Nimal (and i enjoyed the food for my lunch after I had been for another massage!). I wont spoil all the nice touches by telling them all here - suffice to say you are so well looked after - we reached a level of relaxation not known for many year and we slept and slept so well. The housekeeping is of such high quality and they must work by magic as you never see the staff or trolleys of cleaning things - you are certainly never woken up/have to answer the door to a maid (as in most hotels in the world) - they seem to just know when you are out and you come back to the room made up perfectly each day. I love that there was not just enough tea and milk (not those silly little cartons either) but coffee and a cafeteire so again you don't have to ask for more/have tea brought up after a hard days relaxing on the beach as in most hotels. The dining room and all the public areas are so much nicer than you can see in the pictures on this site! I was a bit worried as some made it look like an eastern block dining room but it is so spacious and smart in reality. This is a wonderful hotel for couple or those travelling alone who can relax completely without the shrieking/splashing of children (please dont bring them here!) and it is so not a hen party sort of place - it is a grown up - classy - relaxed and nurturing experience. We were there for ten nights and on one night we were feeling especially lazy so we had our food and wine brought up the the suite and watched a film which was also great to do - the rooms and huge and although i agree with the issue re hanging space for long dresses in the wardrobe (which i find in every hotel - and i do not have long legs!) it really is a trifle and any negative comments about this hotel would say more about the writer than the place as it is near to heaven as you will get in this life. Bliss - in every way.

Room Tip: we were in a room on the side - over looking fields - perfect - quiet and huge suite - Varuna

When you walk in this place, hot sweaty and covered in dust after a 7 hour drive, it's kinda of like going to heaven. For the number of rooms this place is vast. There are water features everywhere and you feel instantly relaxed. There's no rushing around here. When you are shown your room, after the flower garlands, hot towel and fruity drink welcome stuff, you just go AAAAAH! The room is vast, bigger than an apartment. You could sleep an entire village of Sri Lankans in it. It has every conceivable comfort including an enormous flat screen, drinks cabinet with fresh milk and cafetiere, sofa and two armchairs, large balcony with lovely sea views. I can only describe the bathroom as BRILL. Two sinks, deluge shower and a stone jacuzzi overlooking the garden and sea. The Christmas eve menu was stunning and included two cocktails, Australian steak, Christmas pud, with fire dancing, disco and fireworks. Wow! The gardens run down to an immaculate beach, but swimming is not advised. There is a lovely large pool with comfortable beach beds all round. If you sit down anywhere someone appears in an instant with an ashtray or towel or just a smile. I really can't fault this place in any way. Maybe the few fading stuck up Brits who think they still own the tea plantations. But hey, with a place like this just enjoy!

We spent our honeymoon there. From the first step in to the time stepped out, it was a mesmerizing experience.
The hotel itself is a work of art. From the lobby to the room ( we stayed at Martanda room) the amount of focus on details for decoration is exceptional. We loved the sandalwood mixed fragrance in the ambiance.
The room was an eyeopener. With a splendid view of sea, there was big balcony with a comfy bed. Added to that there were two relaxing chairs. It is really good that parchment pool was the bridge from the balcony to the washroom. The pool was made so that it gives a feeling of infinity connection to the see.
We were really surprised by the candles lighten and the scene it made when we returned the room after private dinner at the dinner at the beach. The dinner environment they prepared at the sandy beach is unforgettable. It was so romantic.
We think Aditya would be one of the best honeymoon destination in the world.
I and my wife wishes best of luck to Aditya and its staff.

My advice for Sri Lankan visitors: Never compare Aditya with its price tag.

A quiet place to relax along the beach. Nicely designed rooms and tastefully decorated. Each room has different design and layout . The staff is helpful and courteous . The entire trip was memorable and enjoyable. Reaching the place from Colombo is easy due highway.

Aditya was a phenomenal place to spend a few days on the southern coast. We knew we were in for a treat when eating out in London the week before we departed: we were chatting to a Sri Lankan waiter about our forthcoming trip and he told us that the Aditya hotel we'd booked was one of the best in the country!

The genuinely friendly and hospitable Sri Lankan service was top notch and the room (we had Sakra, requested due to reading T.A!) was the best we have ever stayed in. Boutique hotels always conjure up small, cosy bedrooms but ours was cathedral like with lofty, beamed ceilings and split levels - we even had a pillow menu!
The title refers to the wonderful bathroom, itself like a great hall, which had an enormous, chunky old wood door connecting it to the bedroom, and led to our private plunge pool and vast balcony. The loo really was like a throne, with no wall enclosing the room you could survey the sea and palm tree greenery in complete privacy! But despite this being open to the elements, even with the monsoon rains you are protected.
A lovely extra service was the hundred multi-coloured candles that magically appeared around the room when we returned from dinner on our first night (it was our honeymoon). Such a beautiful surprise!

The only slight 'problem' was that Wifi didn't work. We did tell reception who said they'd put an ICT person on it. Truthfully we didn't actually persist with this as it wasn't needed urgently. Only slightly annoying that's all.

Room Tip: Ours was Sakra and I think this was the best (sea view + bigger than the others)

Ayubowan!

Thank you for your wonderful review of Aditya! We are so glad that you chose Aditya for your stay in Sri Lanka.

We’re thrilled to have lived up to your expectations based on both our guests reviews and of our fellow Sri Lankans living abroad. The entire Aditya team took pleasure in taking care of you during your stay with us and we look forward to seeing you back in Sri Lanka and at Aditya where you can indulge in our spacious rooms and open air bathrooms!

We are extremely sorry about the poor Wifi Signal at the Hotel. While we have made attempts to get a stronger connection, we still have a few areas of the hotel where the connection is very poor. We are looking at options of fixing this as soon as possible.

Warmest Regards,
Shami & the Team
