One of my favourite places for lunch. The falafel salad is delicious and the garlic aioli sauce that comes with it is soooo worth the walk from Hikkaduwa! The homemade ginger beer is also great.
Lots of vegan options and the guys who run it are really sweet! Definitely go to this small and chilled cafe it's brilliant x

I've stayed here twice, for a couple of days in the guesthouse itself and as a "normal" visitor as well. The warm athmosphere of Linda and Ruwan is just overwhelming and leaves you no choice but to feel at home immediately.
Their place is truly a kind of paradise with its small beach spot and the lovely created area inside. Same goes for the beach cabana, which satisfies highest standards.
To put it in a nutshell: if you want to spend the best time in Hikkaduwa, go to Thambili Cafe and see yourself!

Best greets to Linda and Ruwan,
Jan

P.S.: Try the barbecue at the beach :)

Great place! So cozy - only several tables, we were lucky enough to be the only customers on the evening. Very calm and peaceful - right at the beach, away from the dust, smoke and the crazy buses. Very attentive service. Great food! Perfect for couples:)
Was a bit hard to find it though. The location pinned on the map is not accurate by 1 or 2 km. The cafe is right next to the green road sign "Dodanduwa" on the way from Hikkaduwa to Galle.

If you want to know how life in paradise would be, you have to visit this beautiful place! Not only for the good food but also for the very nice accomodation! The room has a beautiful view to the sea, so has the veranda directly at the beach, where you can chill in the hammock and have fresh fruit drinks and great portions of delicious Singhalese food. All is homemade from fresh ingredients. The very special is the candle light barbecue at the beach with fresh seafood! The thoughtful Thambili team will always read your mind and serves you kind and quickly! Thanks for the wonderful days! We hope to come back soon!! Greatz from Susi & Chris

The Bliss Balls are amazing, also the Falafel Salad is really tasty. The place is cosy and a nice distance away from Hikka's cladder.
