We booked the places based on the photos given on the web site. When we turned up the not all the rooms are the same quality. So please check and negotiate before you come. The locatio is good the. The sea room view is good. However, i feel There is no value for money. The cable TV is not functioning. The rooms are not that pleasing.having said that the some positives also. The food is tasty. The staff was courteous and covered for the mistakes of the managrment. This hotel needs a major refushment. The saddest part is we came for dinner and no space to sit.

Check in was very professional and courteous. Cool towel welcome drink and very charming staff. Made me feel very welcome and even upgraded my room. Pools very nice and right on the beach. Room clean and well designed with balcony looking out onto the sea.
I had half board and the food was great with lots of choice.
The hotel isn't brand new but I liked it and the facilities are all as described on the website.
Really recommend.

We (14 pax) spend a day at Coral Sands FB basis last Saturday and enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is far better than how it looks when you see from Gall road. The hotel is directly facing to the sea with a nice view of the beach where boats are anchoring. Even though that area is not suitable for swimming, if you move 100m towards right you may experience nice and clean swimming areas where you can have some snorkeling experience as well(The corral has been dead due to a worm ocean current and now its growing again and you can see some beautiful fish in that area). If you move few steps towards left side of the beach, you can have some surfing experience in a nice and clean beach. If you walk further, you can see some turtles in the beach as well.
Coral Sands has a nice clean pool you can enjoy. You can play TT, pool and do some activities as well. They have a free foot massage for all (Unfortunately I couldn’t experience this due to the limited time). One day stay was not enough to experience all of those.
We had all the three meals as buffets (If you go in a weekday you may not get the buffet – it depends on the crowd and normally they are having in weekends. You can get confirmation from them before booking). The food was good and delicious. Even though this is a 3-star hotel the dinner and the breakfast buffets were up to the level of a 4-star hotel.
There is a bar area with cocktails where we did not use and there was a band playing some nice music in the night around that area.
The rooms are little old, and few things were broken. There is an ironing are outside the rooms as well. The staff is friendly and caring where you may feel an experience you may get in a 5-star hotel. Even though I did not complain about the broken locker, which was in my room, if I complained they may give an alternate for that. They are such friendly and helpful. One of our guys had complained about a broken heater and they had quickly responded, which is appreciable.

Room tip: Hotel with a beautiful beach.

We had to move to this hotel due to the one we where going to stay at in Hikkaduwa had it's beach washed away and so was our wedding spot that we had planned.

The amazing staff of the hotel and it's owner made our dream come true by orginize a full wedding in just 2 days!

The staff is always friendly and smiling, and also have time to interact with the kids while we where there. We can't thank you enough for this.

A very good varity of food for all meals and tasted good. The area is nice if you travel with kids as there is so much space they can play on and it has direct access to the beach, witch makes it possible to snorkle to look at fish and other sea creatures. It's also just a 5 minute walk from feeding the turtles.

This is definitive a place we will visit next time we are back in Sri Lanka and the Hikkaduwa area!
