Owner description: Two bathing ponds aligned lengthwise exemplifying the artistic achievements in the field of hydraulic engineering in ancient Sri Lanka. They date back to between eight A.D. and Ten A.D.

This is an amazing example of the structural and hyrologogical engineering of the ancients in this area. For a few rupees you can get some food to feed the fish and turtles in the ponds. Don't know that I'd swim in it though the algae looks a bit ominous. Nearby we're some busker snake charmers, pythons and cobra. Our guide suggested r1000 was far too much to pay to handle the snakes. He suggested half if not a tad less.

Amazing architecture in Anuradhapura and kuttam pokuna is a very famous pool in Anuradhapura built during the ancient days. Another great site to see if you are in Polonnaruwa.

The two pools and their history are quite interesting. After a day of buddha images and dagobas, we were happy to look at something new. We also enjoyed spotting fist and turtles - this might be a good spot for kids. However, there's not much to see, so it's probably a 15 minute stop total - only worthwhile if you are already in the area.

This place was neat and well preserved. It is a long way from the other sites so need a car to get there. It is also free, at the others you need to pay.

Two baths with water. Nothing particularly interesting about them. If you are walking or cycling around I wouldn't make a detour for it.
