One of the very attractive and most important place in Anuradhapura. Very calm and nice place. nice to sit in the evening and see the sunset.. Has a great value.

Awesome sight and terrific views - not to be missed when visiting Anuradhapura. The historical remains of this pilgrimage site of the inaugration of Bushism to Sri Lanka are impressive

Was hesitant at first, and not sure if it was worth going all the way (the hotel I stayed at told me it wasn't!) but I enjoyed it far more than the Sacred City at Anuradhapura.
Many things to see, a long walk up the stairs but it is a pleasant one with nice views and gorgeous tree.
It came to my attention after I left that I missed many things such as the old hospital and other ruins, so make sure you know what there is to see and you keep and eye out for it.

Yes there are 1840 steps to reach the top - or so I'm told as I did not count them!
It was pouring with rain but it was worth the climb to the top to see the views which I am sure are even better on a nice clear day. Amazing place with historical and cultural significance. The first Ayurveda hospital was here. Well worth the climb

Beautiful setting and views with a number of historic stupas, stairways and buildings to see. The view is beautiful and 360 degree panoramic.
