“Old houses and high quality wool products”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

Sirogojno is a open air museum of old Serbian houses. There are some texts in English, but mainly in Serbian. You can stay a night there or eat in a small restaurant. Just outside the village are a couple kiosks, which sells home made local wool products (jackets, socks etc.). The quality of the wool is very high and this is the only place to buy these clothes. The price level is not cheap, but the products are eternal. Even the locals buy wool products from here.

“Forgotten Place”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

Wish more people visited this place as you can see the life as it was there in the second half of the 19th century. Unfortunately, not too much to do for the kids - chasing chickens at the entrance was a blast for mine :)
Wish they did a better job to guide people around.

“Nice place to stop by for lunch”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

We had a lunch in "Moj Zavicaj" restaurant and both the food and the service were excellent. The beer garden outside is perfect place to have a beer and relax in a nice shade. The food is authentic local, raznjici were excellent.

“A peasant woman for one night”
Reviewed December 11, 2011

I loved a chance to stay in a old Serbian peasant's hut for one night and to have traditional Serbian dinner and breakfast. Since the night we stayed there was foggy and misty and a bit chilly, the fire in the fireplace of the restaurant was particularly warm and romantic.

“Open Air Museum”
Reviewed December 11, 2011

This is an open air museum where the old peasants' huts are collected so you can have a glimpse into the peasants' life in the olden times. What is more interesting is that you can stay in these huts as a overnight guest. Each hut is renovated with clean bathroom with a good shower and cozy living room with a fireplace and kitchen. Quaint and cosy are the words that come to my mind.
The open air musem also has a restaurant in the same kind of hut serving traditional Serbian dinner and breakfast. I can still see in my mind's eye, the burning fire in the fireplace and warm wooden interior. The food was excellent. Very very romanic place for me and I will exchange a five star hotel for this any moment.
