“Very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

We were upgraded to the luxury suite (room 16) which had plenty of space, a well appointed en suite bathroom, a sun terrace with sun loungers and great sea view, overlooking the island of Sveti Stefan. The room was clean, well maintained and well equipped. The air conditioning worked well.
The breakfast buffet was fine - plenty of choice although the food could have been replenished more quickly. We had one evening meal in the restaurant. This was good, as was the service.
We never found the library or snooker room - perhaps this was in their sister hotel next door - the Romanov?
We used the pool and gym. The cycle machine needed maintenance - the seat could not be adjusted. The pool area was clean and tidy and we were the only users at that time.
As parking is fairly restricted in the village, it was good to have allocated parking at the hotel.
The beach is a short walk away (5 mins), albeit down a flight of steps or down a fairly steep road.

The service at Hotel Azimut was excellent! With all members of staff being friendly, polite and extremely helpful with lovely smiles.
The rooms were fine, spacious and clean. The sea - view rooms should always be requested!
The location was not what we expected, because although the view was exceptional, the stretch between the hotel and the beach was a difficult trek due to the hundreds of steep steps, through ugly apartments. You should not consider this hotel or area if you have young children in pushchairs, or elderly members.
The hotel provided everything as stated on the brochure apart from the disappointing library. And Sveti-Stefan itself is an ugly place with apartments and few restaurants.
The food at the restaurant in the hotel was over-priced and very disappointing at times.
Overall, not a place to come if you want a relaxing beach holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms should be chosen that have a sea-view, anything else is horrible.

If you are looking for a room with poor A/C, bad service and bad breakfast, then this is the place to stay. Rooms are big and clean (no linen change for 3 days) but lack any personality.

This hotel was recently renovated and I had an excellent stay there. I was in room 16 on the top floor with two balconies and a breathtaking view of the Sveti Stefan island and the sea. The room had a Jacuzzi and the decor is elegant and clean with all new fixtures and touches. Very relaxing large balcony with chairs and flowers and vines. Beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful, but also hands-off, which I appreciated. The food in the restaurant was good, but not outstanding. Important to note that this hotel is (thankfully) not right in Budav, but about 6 kilometers south in Sveti Stefan. I visited in June when there were few guests and tourists. Very relaxing, excellent. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Affordable and great.

We arrived on spec and stayed 4 days. It was the nicest hotel of our 2 weeks in Montenegro - spotless, bright and beautiful, redecorated in elegant classical style. Had a corner balcony that overlooked sveti stefan. Restaurant food was beautiful. Proper coffee served with a fresh, varying breakfast each day. Lovely staff. Steps down to the beach and dedicated sunbeds / umbrellas. Sveti stefan is a quiet neighbourhood, 20 minutes taxi from Budva.

  • Liked — the view and the food
  • Disliked — very mild drainage issue in our bathroom - we didnt report it.

We booked 5 nights at the Hotel Azimut through Holiday Hotels and did not really feel this hotel was worth the money. Staff quite unfriendly and their appearance scruffy. Hotel has seen better days and is quite dark inside due to poor lighting. They advertise all rooms with sea view but unless you are at the front of the hotel the room will face a building undergoing construction and you would have to go on the balcony to get the sea view. Nice when you do though.
Breakfast was very poor in comparison to other hotels in Montenegro.
The main problem was with the hot water supply - the first day we stayed the hot water ran out at about 4pm, when we complained they informed us that as the hotel was full they are unable to guarantee the hot water supply. This continued throughout our stay and only ever got hot water before 9am and then again between 4-5pm.
I would suggest the hotel next door called Romano, looked very nice.
Also would not recommend Holiday Hotels as your booking agent - they were very unhelpful when we complained to them about the water situation.
