“Great service and location”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Centrally located, literally on the main square, plentiful breakfast buffet and friendly service. Our trip was a combination of business, traveling with the family, and traveling with friends. We were able to enjoy all of it.

It’s clean and decent, but the rooms are small and rather cramped. Perfectly OK for a single traveller for a few nights. Eclectic – some would say strange – decoration. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English.
The hotel entrance is difficult to find as it’s down a corridor with a pharmacy on one side of the passageway. Very convenient location, with the central square a few metres away and a small supermarket and ATM right next door. Lots of cafes and restaurants very close by too – even a taxi rank opposite.
In some of the rooms the bed takes up most of the space and it is difficult to sit on a chair behind the desk in order to work. The free wifi generally worked well and there’s air con if you need it. The shower has an amazing array of gadgets which I didn’t experiment with.
Rooms 22 and 23 look out over a small area but have the advantage of being exceptionally quiet. 21 is over the dustbins which get emptied noisily late at night!
Breakfast is a typically Balkan large spread of meats and cheese with good muesli and very fresh bread and, of course, good coffee. They’ll make you an omelette or something hot if you ask.
I’ve stayed there before and would do so again.

Room Tip: Ask for one that doesn't overlook the dustbins!

The hotel is situated in the shopping district of a city centre, where you can join hundreds of Podgorica people on the promenade in front of the hotel. Normal city street is closed for traffic at 17.00 hours and the street is crowded with people walking up and down the street visiting cafes, restaurants and shops along the street. Rooms are basic, small and clean, breakfast is abundant, the staff is very nice and helpful. Also in arranging trips to Skadar lake, Montenegro seashore, or national prides, like Lovcen, Cetinje or rock church close to Niksic. Taxi services are almost for free, so chip are they for European circumstances. The country currency is Euro.

Room Tip: There isn't any splended view from the windows

This small hotel in the centre of town is comfortable, reasonably priced and close to many restaurants and bars. The staff speak english and are very accomodating. Roms are comfortable. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The only problem is parking but hotel staff will assist in finding a spot.

I stayed here for 6 nights on a business trip. Centrally located, cheap and clean. The decoration is green and yellow, but it sure beats a lot of places in this region of the world. Many rooms have windows with a view of another wall, but then again you don't have to worry about sun or street noise waking you up. A/c worked fine and was quiet.

Staff is very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast was always the same, but they cook you egss the way you want them and mine were always exactly as asked for.

This is a 3-star hotel and it is at the upper end as far as I am concerned. Doesn't deserve 4-stars but misses out on a lot of the more familar 3-star pitfalls. Would stay there again.

I was very satisfied with the location, the room, and especially the breakfast here. Podgorica is a difficult city to find good value accommodation in. Why, then, such a negative rating? The answer is simple. I paid the amoun t due in full in cash on my departure. I didn't use the card with which I'd secured the reservation deliberately, as it attracts a charge for usage abroad.

When I got home, I discovered that the hotel had levied a sum of 0.01 euros against this card, even though I had paid in full, and had the receipt to prove it. When I complained I was told that this was the only way that the hotel could close the account; it recommended that I contacted its Montenegrin bank to pursue the matter. However, I booked many hotels in Montenegro using the same website, and nobody else sought to take additional sums. In any case, it is the hotel's responsibility to take this anomaly up with its bank, or change banks to one which doesn't take sums which are not due. Of course, 0.01 euros is an insignificant sum. That is not the point; I did not owe the hotel any money. As a result of the transaction, to which I was never alerted, my UK bank charged me £1.00 UK. My total costs were £1.01, or 1 euro 26. The hotel offered to reimburse me on my next visit. But I am not returning to Montenegro, and certainly not now to this hotel. It must order its financial affairs more professionally and honestly.

the location is central and hotel staff is absolut friendly and helpful. Unfornately the rooms are a bit narrow but absolutely clean.
I enjoyed every morning the very good breakfast consisting of a small buffet and handmade omeletts tailored to the guest wishes.
