It’s clean and decent, but the rooms are small and rather cramped. Perfectly OK for a single traveller for a few nights. Eclectic – some would say strange – decoration. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English.
The hotel entrance is difficult to find as it’s down a corridor with a pharmacy on one side of the passageway. Very convenient location, with the central square a few metres away and a small supermarket and ATM right next door. Lots of cafes and restaurants very close by too – even a taxi rank opposite.
In some of the rooms the bed takes up most of the space and it is difficult to sit on a chair behind the desk in order to work. The free wifi generally worked well and there’s air con if you need it. The shower has an amazing array of gadgets which I didn’t experiment with.
Rooms 22 and 23 look out over a small area but have the advantage of being exceptionally quiet. 21 is over the dustbins which get emptied noisily late at night!
Breakfast is a typically Balkan large spread of meats and cheese with good muesli and very fresh bread and, of course, good coffee. They’ll make you an omelette or something hot if you ask.
I’ve stayed there before and would do so again.
