Better driver then Vlado you will not find on whole Balkans. He run a extra mile to make sure that we are all happy and satisfated. He treat us with snacks burek, stoped on every view point and waited for us as long as we needed, he picked the most interesting scenery roads trough Durmitor. Warmly recommended!

I was privileged to be driven by Vladislav (Vlado) Radovic during our recent Intrepid Tour. Vlado skilfully drove us in his immaculately clean and luxurious Mercedes van through the breathtaking countryside of Montenegro and beautiful Durmitor National Park. Vlado’s driving skills were simply amazing as he commandeered the narrow, winding roads with ease. Vlado’s capability at the wheel left me lost for words! Nothing was too much trouble and Vlado even kindly provided us with lunch along the way. I highly recommend Vlado’s Travel Agency, ‘Active Montenegro’ and would happily hire Vlado anytime to drive me anywhere! I will never forget this experience. Thank you Vlado!

This is a great activity for family, friends or couples (we went as a couple and bonded with another couple and a single traveller, however we saw children from as young as 4 on this activity).

This is a long day! It started at 7am in Kotor and you go on a scenic trip to the Tara River - this is actually a great way to see the sights outside of Kotor and includes about 4/5 stops for pictures (this also helps to break up the travel). I wuld recommend having a bite to eat before you leave, as breakfast isnt until about 10.30/11. Also you must make any dietary preferences or absences known as their standard is meat meat meat (including veal). As a vegetarian, the breakfast was limited (3 eggs and cheese)and some bread and jam. The lunch was better (mushroom soup and grille vegetables). After breakfast you get changed and go straight down to the site. To note, there is very little instruction/guidelines, there was literally a 2 minute speech and you're in the raft. I assume they think there are no risks/danger as our instructor was incredibly laid back and breezed over about the fact if you fell overboard... However, if you listen to instructions and paddle when told to, you will be absolutely fine!

Our instructor also told us to casually jump overboard and have a swim - i want to flag that the water was EXCEPTIONALLY cold, to the point i almost went numb when i went in, and after some swimming initially we hit quite strong currents and i asked for assistance as, even with a life jacket the water was going over my head and i am a strong swimmer, however the instructor ignored me and said everything was fine and he couldnt paddle over to get me. I eventually got stuck in a current that pulled me to a cave and i couldnt swim out of it - luckily another raft came by and a different instructor heaved me up and in to his raft. I can honestly not say what would have happened if he hadnt of helped me out of the current. So to note, dont go on in unless you have help and are a confident swimmer!

Also to flag, the instructor said the currents were about level 4 (he never explained what that meant but said they were very difficult/choppy) however it was only at the beginning of the tour that we found the water particularly choppy and nearly capsized, after that it was fine so probably nothing to be anxious about (we were first time rafters). The rafting lasted just over an hour i would say, despite the schedule saying 2-3. This included a short stop at waterfall. You can also pay for some pictures (10 euros) that are taken as you finish the tour so keep a look out for a cameraman on a rock!

I would definitely recommend. We booked direct with the tour group 360 Monte, however i believe it is cheaper via Viator.

These guys are the best. I have been using their service for years and I never had any problems. My groups love them, especially Vladislav. I had many guys, who suffer from motion sickness, saying how they enjoyed rides and never felt sick. Continue good job boys :)
