“Tick, tock!”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

This museum was quite a surprise, in a beautiful old building. This was recommended to me by the driver that took me to Brasov. There was one section roped off so that you could not get to close, and there was a temporary exhibit that really dominated one of the rooms. They also had old music players, which were very nice as well. Everything in the collections was well maintained. Don't forget your fan if you go in the summertime - I did and regretted it - it was so hot I felt like I was melting. Note - it costs 3 times as much for the photo pass as it did for the museum - only pay for the photo pass if you plan to make it worth it!

“A large collection of rare clocks”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

This is a museum of my soul. If you want to see a large collection of clocks, due of a passionate professor - Mr Simache, you must go there.

“Want to escape from Bucharest for 3 hours? This is the place”
Reviewed January 25, 2012

A unique place in ROmania. Ploiesti is only 60 km from Bucharest ( 45 minute driving ). You can see so many old watches starting with 15th century. A very nice and cozy museum in an area with few excellent and cheap restaurants. If you are in Bucharest , a 3 hours trip.
