Me and my friends stayed here because our team played a football match with Petrolul Ploiesti.
The hotel is OK, it has good prices and the food was... let's say OK.
The bad part is that the hotel is far from the city center and you need to take the cab to the city center and back. The cab is not expensive, but it adds up.
The hotel had free WiFi, but the connection was bad, probably because of the high number of connected devices.
One advice for the hotel owner: change the beds! I will give only 1* rating to the Sleep Quality because of the bed.
The Romanian beer is cheap, also the food is cheap. So go and visit Romania! Ploiesti is a nice small city, with a great football team and amazing fans! Good luck Petrolul!

Having recently attended a football match in Ploiesti, I booked the Hotel Forum due to its close location to FC Petrolul Ploiesti's llie Oană Stadium.

This hotel has everything you need for a great, comfortable in Ploiesti. Rooms are fairly spacious and clean, en-suite, cable tv. The hotel provides free open WiFi. The staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch, evening dinner and a bar/beer garden/lounge area. We found the food pretty good and found all food and drink prices in-line with cafes and restaurants in Ploiesti.

The Forum can provide airport transfers to and from Bucharest's airports, our transfer from OTP cost 150 leu (approx £30) each way. The hotel will also hold your luggage free of charge

The only negative some travelers may find with this hotel is it's location.
For us attending a football match at the llie Oana Stadium, it was an ideal location (5 minute walk), but It is approx, a 20 minute walk east of Ploiesti's centre. Taxi rides are however cheap to overcome this (we managed to get a one way taxi journey to the centre for 10 leu....approx £2).

Overall, great value recommended accommodation!.

In Ploiesti for a 5 night stay for an international debate tournament. Our stay at Hotel Forum was very nice. The pricing of the hotel is extremely reasonable and our room was clean, air conditioner worked good, and bathroom/shower were clean.

We had at least one breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and each of these were very good. We also enjoyed the espresso and cappucino's. Easy location and convenient. Hotel staff was always helpful.

We would definately stay here if back in Ploiesti again.

The pictures from the website are outdated, the hotel looks worse now. The rooms are small, the AC unit makes some strange noises and I think it is a little outdated. The bathroom is small and it needs some new taps. The staff was not polite with me, the receptionist acted strangely with me...
The breakfast was... let's say ok, but if you need better food, eat somewhere in the city. Like other reviewer said, usual poor Romanian service.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a nicer view of the city.

Hotel good basic and clean. Service usual poor Romanian. Had credit card machine to pay bill but upon checkout advised it hadn't worked for months so had to spend an hour going to bank to get cash - no hint of apology or customers service. Breakfast ok but staff did not understand even basic English words such s "milk" or "spoon" please. Ah well I would recommend staying there but get used to Romanian service :)
