The hotel is located in the city center, near the palace of culture, different very old buildings and the palace mall.
The hotel was renovated and the old communist look was replaced by a nice 3 star standard hotel look.
There is no restaurant menu in the rooms; when I wanted to order room-service, a waiter came up with the menu, he waited until I checked the menu, the took my order and then he returned with the food.

I had dinner and breakfast there - good enough food but do not expect gourmet...not even close.

The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Try booking the superior floors for a wonderful view of the city. I had apartment 1203, check the vi...

Very good location ( 2 min from Palace Mall ) right in the center of the town, free guarded parking,
good breakfast, good wifi. The bed could be better but the linen & towels were very clean and almost new. The staff was very friendly. Good price for a nice & clean hotel !

Room Tip: The rooms above the entrance have a better view to the town.

I stayed in the hotel as the leader of a German tour group. The hotel is centrally located with guarded bus parking in front of the door. Next to a brand new super big mall and activity center. The hotel obviously is from the 80s and it prefers the "charme" of a Eastern block museum. Though the rooms are renovated, clean, and good, the lobby and the entire atmosphere made me feel 25 years younger ;-) Dinenr was a very easy tourist meal, breakfast buffet poor. It's okay and affordable if you just need a place for an overnight stop, but don't expect too much.

Don't be shocked by the grey concrete of the building itself. Yes, it is a building from communistic times in Romania but that's the only unpleasant thing. I was very pleased after my stay here! The room was cheap and with breakfast included. The interior is fully renovated (except for the reception area which is ok but looks like it is still original when the hotel was built), the lifts, the corridors and the rooms are very nice and very clean! Comfortable bed, TV, heating/air condition, all bed linen and towels were perfectly white and clean, so the whole room and bathroom as well.

I had to take a train from Iasi very early in the morning so I would't make it to get the breakfast at the hotel - the receptionist proposed me, when she heard that, to take a breakfast package with me. I could chose from 4 or 5 different to go breakfast packages! As I checked out, I got a plastic bag with some bread, cheese, ham, salami, tomato, a bottle of water! So I could have a breakfast on the train! Perfect. Only a plastic knife would be nice, for cutting the tomato, but it was a minor discomfort.

The staff at the reception is very friendly and very professional!

As for the location - couldn't be better! One side of the hotel overlooks the beautiful Palace of Iasi, an old Moldavian church. If you are lucky with the side of the hotel you get a room in (the other rooms overlook a grey but quiet yard) and high enough (top floors in the hotel), you could have a fantastic view of central Iasi from your room - ask for a room with a view at the reception / while booking! Iasi has recently got very big and very modern shopping mall, right next to the hotel - Palas. Check it out, I was positively shocked! And don't miss the Mall's terrace overlooking the back side of the Iasi palace building with its green park and a water cascade, nice!

As I understood, the hotel also has a swimming pool but I didn't have time for it, so I can't rate it. Must be nice too.

The price of the room is excellent too. I paid just 32 EUR for a double room with a double bed (single use), breakfast included.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Piata Palatului (Palace Square) and possibly the top floors - then yo...

This is a communist furbished hotel. I have chosen mainly because it was in the center and I needed parking. The parking was guarded and video cameras were avaiable. The rooms were clean enough but the AC was not working. The breakfast is a mess, all the meals are full of oil, and simply I had no stomac to eat. The wifi is not working. The staff should be trained more because they show no interest to guests. I have complained about the wifi but nothing was done.
I would reccomend the hotel mainly for the location. You can eat in the 2 min walking Palas Mall.

Room Tip: View on the front.

It is an old hotel, but i didn't care, inside it is clean, the bed is big, the rooms are spacious, the bathroom is clean, hot water all the time, the view is great. I was glad about the breakfast, i enjoyed every single morning haveing a rich breakfast. Don't go to swim at the swimming pool, it's not as clean as it should be. The staff is from other dimension, like from comunist dimension. The looking, the atitude, i can't imagine who hired those people, but it's not for the hotel benefit. Don't try to have your dinner in the hotel's restaurant, the staff is bored to serve you, they want you out of there because they need to rest watching the soap opera in the tv, or just want to go home earlier. You don't need a taxi, or your car if you want to visit de center of the town. You just have to go outside the hotel, and there you are. The bigest shopping center is there, churches, cathedral, etc.

Room Tip: 8-9-10 floor, for the view, a smoking or non smoking room.

My room window closed with a advertisement banner :( I think, This is an old hotel. Hotel is in city center. You can walk evrywhere from hotel. Hotel is near very beatiful shoping center (Palace).
