My friend and I were staying at another property so we went here for dinner. I tried the lechon kawali meal, which had a side dish of chop suey and a cup of rice. Serving was big enough for two - but maybe that's just me because I have a small appetite. The meat was perfectly crispy on the outside, while the inside was soft and juicy. The chop suey was also very fresh!

A lovely little hotel, the bedrooms are really cute and the main room is low and beamed with various arm chairs around. Food was great with local produce, service very willing but a little chaotic as the young staff didn't always understand what we wanted. We really enjoyed our one night here

Our room was small but clean with nice beds and hot water. We also had a small balcony overlooking the garden/trash dump. Sagada is small and options are limited, but this is a good choice. Only downside were the barking dogs that kept us awake all night, along with the rest of the town. Breakfast was very good with fresh bread!

The hotel is well located and easy to find (well Sagada is a small thing). The hotel is quite simple, the room we stayed in was fairly small but clean and comfy we even had a small balcony. The breakfast was very good. this said we won't be going back, the staff does not seem overly concerned about the guests, service was slow, it is was quite difficult to find who was in charge. all questions were unanswered. Since it is not allowed to hand wash cloth we asked them if they could do the laundry. do not do that unless you want to travel light and have no deadlines (we had to wait until their TV show was finished...)

The restaurant is very cosy and welcoming. The photos taken by Masferre are a treat for cultural and ethnographic enthusiasts. The service was prompt but the Filipino menu was disappointing. The restaurant didn't have most popular dishes available during the time of my visit despite being listed on the menu. The adobo was mostly chicken bones and the food had an unpleasant taste and odour. The noodles and rice were ok and the best choice. Service was efficient.
A local guide today said they often hear the same complaints from
Other visitors about the venue but they keep their mouths zipped. It's a sham because the standard won't improve unless constructive feedback is provided.

The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. Hot shower was working. We had a bit of trouble with the washroom. We reported it to the front desk and they sent someone to fix it right away.

The food was also good and they had big servings. Some could be good for two specially if you're watching your diet. Their brewed coffee was strong and liked it a lot!

Since Sagada has a curfew at 9pm, just make sure to have the number of the hotel saved on your phone. We almost got locked out when we went home past midnight. After a few minutes of calling and knocking on the steel gate, we finally got in.

Wouldn't mind staying here again next time.

I was traveling with a group and we stayed here for 2 nights.
My bedroom was clean, comfortable and even had a small balcony.
The bathroom was very good except for the slope of the floor outside the shower area which didn't slope to the drain. Consequently, the floor stayed wet for quite a while after having a shower.
I recognize that this isn't North America but re-tiling the floor would easily have corrected this problem.
The hotel had WIFI and I found the signal to be pretty good, especially in the hall near the reception.
The biggest drawback of the Masferre Country Inn is the dining room.
Ironically, it looks very appealing - like an Austrian chalet. Unfortunately, the menu was a disaster since 50% of the items were not available. I had heard other guests grumbling about this as they tried to order a meal the day we arrived. The following day, it was our turn and the situation hadn't improved.
It's easy to attribute this problem to the remote location of Sagada but a restaurant down the road didn't seem to have this problem and it was doing 5 times the amount of business.

In summary, the Masferre Country Inn is a nice place to stay but I wouldn't recommend that you eat there.
