Very good to excellent hotel in Nazca Peru, near shopping and markets for a good cultural experience. The staff were great in taking care of us and answering all of our questions in very good english, which is some times lacking in Peru. We looked around for restaurants, and being tired after 8 hours on a bus, and chose the Hotel's restaurant and was not disappointed, good food, Pisco Sours and service and also the breakfast was very good.
PS. Nazca was one of our favorite cities we visited, I never felt unsafe and everyone we dealt with was or seem to be happy we were visiting.

Room Tip: The farther back in the hotel may be better, but with the older window shaker AC system, noise from outside is not a problem. Our room was on the bottom level near the restaurant and was fine.

The hotel is very nice and very well located. just close to Plaza de Armas and the Ovalo, with a lot of shops and restaurants around. the room is like a suite, big, comfortable and very clean. Big and comfortable bathroom. Internet wi fi working well. The bath and air conditioning old fashion but working well. The best : people attitude; they did whatever I needed to solve my problems and make our stay very enjoyable. I strongly recomend this hotel at very good value for money

Good: air conditioning works well but loudly, comfortable beds, nice towels, in room safe, fairly well equipped even in Standard room there is a small table/2 chairs. Good location near bus stations and restaurants. Friendly doorman. Pleasant coutyard and room colors.

Bad: Toilet flush mechanism runs, clogged shower head, mildew in shower corners, nonfunctioning hairdryer, unheated tiny pool, thIn walls. If I was staying in a hostel I can overlook the maintenance issues but I would expect better here. Reception staff mechanical, not welcoming and made sure to emphasize when I had to check out!

Negative comments on restaurant I concur. Bread is sliced supermarket type, vanilla cake, and stale oven rolls (definitely yesterday's), if you don't have fresh don't put the old ones out! Potato dish and fresh type cheese also seems old, with hard edges. Average juice (served in beverage duspensers not freshly made). Cut up papaya and banana and eggs were only freshly made items in buffet. Based on lack of pride & attention I would not eat any meals here!

The hotel is very adequate and well designed. However, while it does meet the requirements, it doesn't exceed them in any way. THE PLUSES: its rooms are laid out around a nice garden area and away from the street (drivers in Nazca honk a lot, and this way you don't hear the honks). It is close to the bus offices and restaurants. Its clean. It has a duvet and the bed was comfortable. THE MINUSES: It lacks storage space. There were no three-pronged electric outlets to charge a laptop.

We ended up at Casa Andina by coincidence as the hotel we had booked was overbooked. Nasca's Casa Andina Classic is part of the wider Casa Andina hotel chain and offers spotless accommodation and English-speaking staff, appealing to a more mature audience. Good breakfast, great and clean room, hot showers, nice swimming pool area, working wifi. The hotel is a bit pricey - we would settle for less comfort - but you get value for money, definitely one of the best hotels in town.
