“A very good, reliable choice”
Reviewed November 29, 2011

Clean, well-kept and in a perfect location yet quiet (get a room in the back). Very accommodating staff particularly in the restaurant (they sent someone to get more whole wheat bread for us!) We stayed in a "superior" room which was spacious, had a fridge, a safe, good storage and comfortable beds. Bathroom seemed a tiny bit "tired". It is an easy walk to good restaurants and close enough to the bus station for convenience (a few minutes by cab; could walk but pavement very uneven, tricky) but far enough for peace and safety. Lovely pool area and atrium ( the rooms do not look onto the street.) A good reliable choice with comfort and everything you need.

Room Tip: Go for a "superior" room and ask for a quiet location.

Again, we had a matrimonial room and it was a littel like a suite...although only the bedroom was air conditioned. Room was big, had a fridge and TV, nice bathroom. Smallish pool (with lots of petals in it!) and lots of sunbeds to lie around on. Staff could be a little more helpful and friendly...but overall we were happy with the hotel. Breakfast was nice...and you could sit outside and eat.

Room Tip: Ask for a matrimonial room at the end of the U shape!

Gracias.
During our Peru-trip we stayed in this hotel.
It was a pleasant short stay: good room, good food and nice service.

I stayed here for 1 night for a short stay to visit the Nasca lines and Chauchilla cementary. Overall, it's a good place, excellent location, 2 minute walk to oltursa bus stop or you can take a taxi for 1-2 soles. It is located on the main street, where there are tons of restos and souvenir shops with good prices. The staff is friendly and helpful however their english is limited. The people is nasca are also very friendly and warm, they will try to help you if they can.

What is good:

-Room: good size, comfortable bed king size, with a sofa and table separated from room
-reasonable rates
-room was clean and tidy
- great location (easy access to both bus terminals), small convenience half a block away
-access to a computer with internet and a printer (useful if you forget to print your vouchers for tours)

what is bad:

-The restaurant in the hotel horrible, I went there after I just got there in the afternoon. The plates were dirty and there was an ant on my salad! Pretty expensive also for what you get. Opt to eat outside, there are plenty of good restaurants on the same street which are cheaper and clean. I don't know how the complimentary breakfast is, but it's in the same place, so I did not bother to even try it.

-It is complicated if you need to call internationally with a calling card, the phones do not accept it, so you need to go outside and call from a public phone. There is cheap place three blocks up where you can place long distance calls, looks like a store with many public phones inside.

-Although it does not bother me that much, you can hear lots of noise from outside since people are out late and are lively but I think this is unavoidable since it's in the main street.

Located in a busy main street three blocks from central Plaza de Armas, a short taxi ride from the bus terminals and close to shops and decent restaurants, this hotel seems to cater mostly for tour groups. Our room was well furnished, clean and comfortable with good wifi.
The hotel restaurant serves nice food for breakfast and dinner. The pool area is pleasant, but the pool itself rather murky when we visited. Main complaint...the hotel staff and management could be more customer friendly and perhaps follow the example of the ever smiling Wilton. The hotel did not answer 2 email requests for transfers.
For late checkouts to catch the overnight Nasca/Arequipa bus service, the hotel obligingly offers full use of public areas and internet.
Overall not a bad choice for the money and convenient downtown location.

Room Tip: All rooms located around long central courtyard on 3levels so not much to choose.

NIce tree-shaded atrium, pleasant staff. All the rooms, so far as we could tell, look on to the atrium, so don't expect a view, and expect other guests walking past your window from time to time. The rooms are fairly simple by Casa Andina standards, but perfectly adequate for the one-night stay that most travellers spend in Nazca. This is a good thing, for apart from the Lines the attractions of Nazca are finite, and the lounge area in the hotel is too small and too much like a goldfishbowl to spend much time in.

Once you step off the dusty street in this desert town, you are in a large atrium with large palm trees and other plants. Our accommodation was a spacious suite upstairs that one reaches via balcony that runs right around the long atrium.

Staff is helpful, but the water bottles are about three times the going rate.

The mixer for the shower did not work properly and once adjusted, we got scalded and chilled alternately as water pressure changed. Plumbing has been a problem in just about every hotel we have been in Perú and this, otherwise very nice hotel was one of the worst in this regard. Additionally, while in the atrium one notices the odor of sewer. Inside the suite the odor was not noticeable.

Still we slept well in nice, clean spacious, and comfortable beds until around 3 or 4 AM when the first rooster started crowing outside. Soon this lone rooster was joined by more and more others until we had a full choir. Unfortunately, we had hoped for another three or four hours of sleep before it would have been time for breakfast and the trip to the airport for the Nazca line overflight.

Breakfast was okay. And, again, the staff was friendly and pleasant.

Room Tip: You may try to get a room on the side where the roosters won't wake you.

Dear Guest,
Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconveniences experienced with the water pressure and temperature while taking a shower. Our maintenance department will definitely check the water mixer and showerhead to make the necessary repairs.
Unfortunately, the rooster´s breeding in Nasca is very common for rooster fights that usually take place in July. We regret if their crowing disturbed your sleep.
We sincerely hope you give us another opportunity to offer you our special blend of Casa Andina and Peruvian hospitality in a not too distant future.
