“A stay in a very Quaint "Hacienda"”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Staying at this hacienda for 2 nights was just superb!! The grounds are very beautiful and it reminded me of my childhood geataway weekends with my parents, when we would go to a real nice place to relax and away from the city...The room was very big with nice large windows "screened" it was a bit chilly at night but expected for this time of the year in Nasca, the grounds are absolutly georgeous and very charming..the pool, the sitting areas, just about anywhere you would was just superb...we didn't want to leave but we had to go on with our trip..The restaurant served very nice food and for those that don't appreciate waiting that's too bad because everything is made to order and "fresh" no frozen stuff here...The dinning room very charmingly decorated with colonial future and some Nazca decor as well..servers were very attentive and very, very nice...Breakfast very nice and again the service was great..will love to go back and stay a few more than 3 days to just relax...Also check with front desk about the Planetarium..we missed it because I do have to do a bit of complaining..the front desk staff were not very professional at all..but from just being there and the whole ambiance it scratched off the bad reception we received from front reception...even so said..will go back for a few days of just relaxing...Great choice!!

The room is ok, and offers everything you'd expect it would.
The hotel pool is too cold for winter - perhaps it could be heated.

The service is exceptional - it was cloudy for ouver Nazca flight, so we had to wait which meant wqe were going to miss the bus to Arequipa, they quickly changed our tickets for us, only for the weather to suddenly change, meaning we could get the flight and catch the bus, aghain they changed us back again!

We have just come back from three wonderful days at hotel Majoro. We found it to be a real oasis in the desert. The hotel is wonderful for those seeking a few days of peace and quiet. The beautiful grounds are wonderful to stroll around and the modern swimmimg pool is great to cool off in at midday. The rooms are quite basic, no televison etc but all have hot water and are very clean. The restaurant has a good variety of dishes to choose from although some are a little expensive for Peru. The paintings and sculptures around the hotel give it a special touch and really show Peruvian culture and history. The hotel architecture and decoration is fantastic. You really feel like you are in an hacienda! My family and I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Majoro located at the outer area of Nasca city, no souvenir shop around, no restaurant too. Though the location is a bit not convenient for city center visit, there are having good service, nice environment, delicious food and comfort, you will not bother where it is! you may prefer to stay in the hotel whole day! This hotel also arrange the plane to see Nasca Line, for me, such as a lazy tourist, its quite convenient and all the things are arranged by the hotel. But, please be reminded that just take a light meal before go to the plane, coz you may feel uncomfortable in your stomach during the flight. Most appreciated, their food, wonderful and delicious. First impression, the food should be very expensive, but it is not. Chicken with potato fries, costed S/25, similar to those in downtown, but the tasted and environment are totally different. You must miss it after you have a night there!

3 miles outside of nasca on private grounds this is an outstanding place in every aspect. You might miss a TV, but just admire the wonderful gardens and all the art carefully placed in various buildings. The rooms are in bungalows and you will sleep peacefully. Use the good seized swimmingpool and relax in comfortable chairs. Enjoy the park like view and, if present, the house lama. Don't challenge it, because it will spit on you. The restaurant is not only another wonderful decorated room but offers excellent quality food. What a find.

Room Tip: Take the rooms on the swimming poolside you want als want to explore the huge private garden.

We unfortunately stayed only one night, but have come away with only the best impressions! It’s a lovely place that combines a hotel with a museum, as there are quite a few artifacts from Inca culture (and other cultures).
Location: a bit remote, about 5 km outside the town. However, if you only stay for 1-2 nights, I’d say the hotel itself offers plenty to explore.
The hotel grounds, a former hacienda, are lovingly cared for and it is a joy to walk through the gardens with the profusion of tropical flowers. The llama that comes to keep you company at the evening from a bar is a nice treat.
Rooms: The rooms are, esp. compared to the hotel grounds, quite simple, but this is done to retain the original atmosphere. So, once you overcome your initial disappointment, you can actually get a feel for what it was like in the past. No safe in the room, only basic toiletries in sachets. We had a mini fridge, but we unplugged it since there were not enough plugs to recharge cell batteries, camera batteries etc. Maybe this accounts for the many many mosquito-bites the following morning!
Food: Dinner (buffet) was very good – I can’t say anything about prices, since our stay & food was included in the package price. Breakfast was not very rich and the pity was that once something was depleted, no one came to replenish it. The juices though were good! And the pisco was to die for!
Overall – we’d stay there again!

This property is more like a hacienda in that it is off the beaten path, is within a walled enclosure and appears to be a working farm. Check out the history of the place. This place exudes a kind of "peace" that is hard to explain. Certainly there are areas of neglect but our room was clean, the bed was great and the service requested for food, drinks or whatever was taken care of promptly. That being said it was like we were the owners as no one was obtrusive Their pisco,as they make their own, is good. If you go request a room that faces the pool. We stayed in room 108 and it was perfect.
