“Hidden gem”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

The Cahuachi ruins are not known by many tourists, but they are impressive. There are supposed to be 14 pyramids under excavation on-site, but only one is visible (the other 13 are still to be excavated). Maybe the grandeur is not evident to the naked eye, but just imagining all that could be uncovered makes you realise about the real magnitude of this ceremonial complex.. amazing!

“Deeper insight in Nazca culture”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

You really need a guide. It is good to know the story about the people who created the Nazca lines. This is a story most visiters do not know. This story should be spread around the world. These are the remains of one of the worlds greatest civilisation.

Reviewed September 26, 2012

For our first time on the board in sand dunes it was a great experience. We could also visit the archeological sites on the way.
We would do it definatly again.

“Interesting but ruins not preserved well”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

I went to see this as part of a tour and was interesting, quite alot of the ruins have been destroyed to make the road that goes through the middle of the site and from locals taking the stones to build their houses many years ago. Quite a large site but the guide for the trip did not show us around or tell us the history behind the place. Worth seeing if have free time but not worth a special trip to see.
