Hospedaje Brabant Hostel
Ranked #8 of 30 Specialty Lodging in Nazca
Reviewed June 2, 2014

We´ve just ended a night stay in Nazca, arriving at 9.30pm on the 1st June. We (Girlfriend - 21, Me - 24) had e-mailed Jesus on the day to ask if there was space and got an immediate response. He also told as he would arrange for a taxi to collect us from the bus station as it is very intimidating there!! We turned up and there waiting for us, in amongst a dozen other taxi drivers was a man calling our name. We turned up 5 minutes later at Hospedaje Brabant, where were greeted with the welcoming Jesus. From our arrival to departure Jesus, was there to help, telling us things to do and places to eat, and organising our bus out. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a helpful, friendly hostel manager.

This is a very good value hostel with no trimmings. The young chap who was in charge when we stayed was really helpful & friendly and put a smile on my face every time I met him. He helped arrange our flights over the lines. He also had a room ready for us at 7am when we landed which was nice and unexpected.
The location is spot on- minutes from the main square. The only downside is it seemed to be lacking bathrooms as the shower and toilet were all in one so if somebody was taking a long shower, there was only one other available toilet. Also the bed wasnt very comfortable but at the price we paid, you cant have it all!!

From basic bunk beds with shared bathroom from 16 soles a night to the more expensive on-suite rooms. All rooms are basic, but clean and homely. The staff are very friendly and helpful in organising trips ext. they also speak a variety of languages. Hot showers, wifi, baggage storage, free computer use ext. however no kitchen.
Only a short walk from Plaza de Armas
Me and my friend really enjoyed our stay in this hostel and would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: basic shared dormitories are bunk beds, more expensive rooms have double beds

Staff is very good with lots of information on tours and how to see things independently. This hostel is in a good location and dorm rooms are the cheapest in town. No hammocks up stairs, No kitchen, but there is a chest refrigerator you can use. All-in-all I had a good stay at the Brabant and the town of Nazca.

Room Tip: All rooms are good and back off from the street, but short on bathrooms

Nazca is only a one day place, so no Marriot or Sheraton is needed. The owners are extremely nice and make it so easy to book your Nazca flight. The place has all of the amenities others do - wifi, baggage storage, hot water, food for sale, etc. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed in Nazca for one night, although had originally planned to stay two. If you time the buses right, you'll arrive in the afternoon in time to book a Nazca flight the next morning & can leave by mid afternoon, so there really is no need to stay longer.

We had a double room with private bathroom, which was basic but clean. Wifi is available throughout the hostel. There is a good rooftop terrace where most guests hang out. Breakfast is available, but you need to pay for this.

Location is excellent, just two blocks away from the main square & close to the bus station. The hostel will arrange a free pick up for your arrival (we'd heard of taxi scams where you are taken to another hostel, so it was useful to know we knew we'd end up where we had booked).

The staff are really friendly and helpful. It is family run & one of the guys spoke good English, the other very little. They were helpful in organising flights over the Nazca Lines (US$85 per person) and we also spent an afternoon dune buggying & sandboarding - great fun! They allowed us to store our luggage & take a shower before we took a bus that night.

Tip: Make sure you get to the Nazca Lines talk at the planetarium at the Nazca Lines Hotel. It provides a good insight into the different theories behind the lines & was useful to recall when we took our flight the next morning.

We stayed for one night, staff was very helpful but spoke only a few words English (as most places in Peru). They provide cheap tours for the Nasca lines and other places

Room was very basic, but clean. The place is a 5 mins walk from plaza de armas.

Room Tip: We had a room near the reception, the doorbell was a bit annoying, because it was very loud.
