From the moment we entered the service at the Sumaq was terrific! A porter was waiting for us at the train station and carried our bags to the hotel where small snacks and a ginger iced tea greeted us along with a friendly staff member who explained the services we were to receive during our short two-day stay.
Dinner and breakfast were included and they were both delicious and plentiful! The trout ceviche was so flavorful and fresh.
After spending the day hiking Machu Picchu mountain, our legs and bodies were sore but having a comfortable room/bed, a hot shower and a lovely dinner ready made the stay even more pleasant.
The next day we were checking out but were allowed to return for the Pisco Sour and Ceviche making lessons. Yummy trout ceviche again -- and this time with the recipe to take home!
While there are less expensive places to stay, you will not be disappointed if you treat yourself and stay at the SUMAQ!More
