Stayed at Casa del Sol for a night before taking the bus the next morning to MP. The hotel was right off of the train station. We essentially got off the train, crossed the railway track and stepped into the hotel. I am unable to decide if this was a good or a bad thing! There was some noise, late into the night due to the trains - hence the 4 starts.
That aside, the place was very clean and well kept. The rooms were luxurious (which we were not expecting given how small the town was), and the staff were very kind and helpful. We got out bus tickets to MP for the next day through the hotel and they charged nothing more than the actual ticket rates.
If not for the noise, this would have been an absolute 5 star experience.

Stayed here after doing MP. Aguas Calientes is fairly compact so everything is within an easy walk to this hotel. They offer free pick up from train station and welcome drinks. The gentleman who picked us up went above and beyond. We booked a triple, river room but was upgraded to one with a jacuzzi. Room was very nice, on the quiet side, with great shower/bath feature. Staff was courteous and pleasant. Their recommended MP guide, Wagner was excellent and knowledgeable! We didn’t get to try their breakfast as we had a 0530 train to catch. Will stay here again in a heartbeat!

At check in we were given a comfortable table to sit at, warm hand wash cloths, a delicious fruit drink, and lots of gracious welcomes. The room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view of the jungle and river. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The included breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide selection. At check out we were given little gifts, offered to keep our suitcase there and/or use their restrooms until we caught our train.
