They went out of their way to give us a great experience! I highly recommend this wonderful place! They were very attentive to our needs and checked in with us, asking if we needed anything, at every encounter.

This is the most amazing hotel. I had the best sleep ever with the roaring river just outside my window. One did NOT want to close the window! How many hotels have open windows? AND the food, served by Jorges, was top star - both for taste and presentation! A very friendly, hospitable hotel...and YES, I would return!

I can't speak more highly of Casa del Sol Machu Picchu. From the moment we got off the train we were greeted by friendly staff who guided us the very short walk to the hotel and then it just kept getting better. From check in to advice on the area to the surprise complimentary dinner and breakfast to making booking massages at the spa it was all effortless and done with impeccable service by every single staff member who helped us. The dinner was phenomenal, five courses with each one delicious and beautifully executed. The the next day after exploring and hiking Machu Picchu we were they held our bags and provided access to a much needed shower and room to change into fresh cloths. Then we enjoyed amazing drinks at the bar while relaxing before our train back to Cusco. Last but not least the hotel rooms were spacious, clean, well appointed, and with comfortable beds. The shower had great water pressure and hot water, a must after playing Dora the Explorer all day. Honestly I've never had such an amazing hotel experience and that's with staying at Four Seasons and other fancy properties. Service first goes an extremely long way and the entire staff at Cass del sol Manchu Picchu live that everyday.

Casa del Sol is a beautiful hotel with a very caring staff. I arrived in Machu Picchu with a stomach virus, and the staff (especially Silvia at the front desk) went out of their way to check me into a room as soon as they could. Also, because I could not join our friends for dinner, Alejandra from the kitchen staff made chicken noodle soup for me and brought it up to my room. Both Silvia and Alejandra made sure I was well-taken care of. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness!

Wow! This hotel and its incredible staff went so far above and beyond for us. They reached out after we booked to ensure that we had all of the correct train tickets and tickets to Machu Picchu. They helped me book a visit to their lovely spa and stayed in communication up until our arrival communicating through WhatsApp.
Upon arriving to the the amazing little town of Aguas Caliente, they were there waiting us at the train.

Upon arriving at the hotel we were treated with a lovely beverage as they got us checked in. Fernando took amazing care of us through the entire visit.

Their spa is amazing with incredible river views in the treatment room. I was feeling very sick the day we arrived from the elevation and such and the spa went above and beyond to accommodate me.

That evening in room dining made me a special chicken soup (which wasn’t on the menu). Alejandra was so lovely and accommodating throughout our stay. The food at the hotel was great.

The room was just as described. Great shower and bathroom and amazing river views.

I had read in a review that Aguas Caliente didn’t have much to do. I totally disagree. There are a hand full of yummy restaurants, shopping and amazing hot springs to check out on this visit.

We only planned for one night in this little amazing town. This is the only part I regret about our trip. Machu Picchu is a very full day and can be exhausting. 3 days and two nights in this town would have made the trip perfect. I was sad to leave.

Best travel tip for Peru, give yourself more days there. Don’t try and get too much in in a short period of time. The elevation does impact you. Give yourself and your body a little more tome to explore this truly magical place. Blessings.
