“A unique stand out”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Loved everything about this place. Met one of the owners Christophe, who shared his story with me: a traveler who after 10 years was tired of talking to his corporate computer and wanted to talk to people. While exploring S. America he met the other owners, and they eventually decided to start the business.

Located right next to the bus stop, train station, and shopping area, it's a great place to duck out from the rain, take a break from shopping, and/or grab a coffee and pastry. Everything is really expensive up at Machupicchu, so this is a super place to stop and grab lunch/snacks before heading up the mountain.

I also love that they do not stand out front of their restaurant like every other food establishment owner in the city. They let their great coffee, pastries, snacks, comfy couches, genuine laughs and smiles, and great service do the advertising for them.

“Exquisite”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Had the pleasure of meeting one of the "Three Frenchmen" and spoke for a few moments. He wasn't aware of all the great things the guidebooks and TripAdvisor had to say about the bakery. They don't need advertisements, or to pay any commissions to generate business. They do it the old fashioned way -- word of mouth, high quality food/drink, unbelievable prices, impeccable customer service, and a genuine interest in the people who visit. Haven't had a sandwich that good since being in Europe many years ago -- and contemplated buying a backpack full for the rest of the trip. Fortunately (for them, not for me) they're so popular, there weren't many left by day's end. Can't recommend them enough. 5*
