“Lovely view, delicious food and good wi-fi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

Aguas Calientes is a town that exists solely to service the tourists heading to Machu Picchu, so most of the restaurants around are probably average at best.

Toto's was my favourite because:
1. It's setting - it juts out over the river
2. It's wi-fi was fast
3. The pizzas and fries were absolutely delicious - try the Mixta and the On The House pizzas.

“Buffet was over-priced and poor. View, though, is great.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

Like many diners, we ate lunch here whilst waiting for the train back from visiting Machu Picchu. You're hot, tired and desperate for a drink - and anything will do.... almost!
The buffet was dreadful - we didn't see food being replaced after having been kept hot for some considerable time. The casserole dishes had relatively little flavour. Dessert portions were served for you and were tiny.
Those eating from the menu looked to have better food and it was probably cheaper, and therefore much better value. Service wasn't as good as we had elsewhere in Peru.
The view, though, is excellent - sitting by an open window looking out at the river.

“Not Bad”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

I would give this one three and a half stars.

The restaurant is spacious and offers nice views of the town. Certain tables are also located next to the oven where they cook the pizzas, so you can watch them being cooked.

The service was good in terms of the pleasantness of the staff. They were a little slow getting our orders though. We were on a time limit and we were basically finishing up at the time that we had to leave. Thus, there was no time to spare.

I had a Hawaiian pizza. It was loaded with garlic, which is unusual for this kind of pizza, but overall it was good. It was certainly a generous size for an individual pizza.

The only thing to beware of is that Globus uses this restaurant and a large group came in, which I don't think helped the service times. Also, there was a bit of a tacky show put on for them. Sorry, I just didn't think it was that great (the show).

“Another food poisoning”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2014 via mobile

One of us got a food poisoning here after eating Peruvian soup and a trout with tomato sauce. The meats and fish are cooked way too rare. Nice setting though

I recommend this restaurants: good food, wifi, very clean toilets, nice staff and good service! We had steaks and mashed potatos, limonades and good capucinos.
