“Expensive for meals received”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

We had a late lunch at this restaurant after our visit to Machu Picchu. The food was acceptable as was the service and the live entertainment was great. However they must have been on an austerity program as the meals consisted of just the meat ordered and a few french fries. As in a lone grilled chicken breast with a handful of fries for about $15US. Not!

“Waste of Time”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

Most of us who come to Aguas Calients are passing through. We are mighty tired from the hike. We just came from our Salkantay Hike of 5 days and the last thing we wanted was to wait, and wait, and wait... alas but we did.

It took a good 30 minutes for our coffee to arrive. 30 minutes! And to think there were only four (4) other tables that were occupied.

“Apparently forgot we were sitting there waiting....”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

My fiancé and I had just returned from a day long exploration of Machu Picchu and, being avid coffee drinkers, desperately looked forward to a hot cup (or two). We had spotted the location the day before and loved the look of it so gave it a go. After ordering a latte and cappuccino we relaxed on the window-front sofa and eagerly awaited our drinks....and waited....and waited....and waited.....for someone used to a packed Starbucks on a Monday morning I do actually have a little patience built-in, but really now?

It seems they forgot about us, sitting right there in front of them....
After questioning what was the hold-up, there was no apology or even semblance of concern. What we did get was a random offer of free popcorn. Popcorn? No thanks, finally getting our coffees would be great. He seemed irritated by our refusal.

We did eventually get our drinks. Ok coffee, not the worst we have ever had. Though I suspect, that even if it had been the best coffee to ever hit our taste buds, the service would have already soured the entire experience.

“Great place for pisco sours”

We loved this place for Pisco Sours, but were not impressed with the food. The menu was pretty limited for vegetarians or those who just eat fish.

“Best coffee I've had”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

The place looks great. The couches are very comfortable for just sitting and relaxing Our services was fine although we are the only people in here right now. We tried the sweet potato doughnuts which are delicious. My coffee is the best I've had in a week and we enjoyed the chicha sour. I would definitely come back for more coffee if nothing else.
