-Bargained them down to $50 for a single, from $62.
-Awesome location across from the train and on the road to MP. You can see the lines forming for buses if you have a street view, which is helpful for planning your journey.
-No hot water in my room, they were apologetic and said they would fix it. My buddy's room did not have this issue so seems like an isolated incident.
-Friendly staff, decent breakfast which starts 5.30am.
-WiFi only in lobby but decent speed
-I would stay again

This hotel is perfect for visiting Machu Picchu! It's across the street from the bus ticket booth to MP and less than a half block away from where the buses leave/return. It is also two blocks away from the main plaza and major restaurants, and on the other side of the river where the handcrafts market and train station are located, less than a 5 minute stroll away.

We were received by hotel staff upon arrival via train, and walked to the facilities. Rooms are adequate, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is OK (although not great) and served very early, to accommodate early travelers to the archaeological site. Staff was really helpful and kind to us.

They don't take credit cards but reserved via bookings.com and helped us being charged through them; just call them in advance to set it up. Check in and out hours are in the early morning, which is consistent throughout the area.

As it is right next to the river, it can be clearly heard from the front rooms; we found its sound to be relaxing, but could annoy some travelers.

I highly recommend this hotel to visit the area; price is more than adequate for the facilities. Would return if ever in the area.

Stayed for the one night before Machu Picchu. Good location, you will spot it to your right when you cross the bridge from the train station. Close to tourist area where all restaurants and market are. Staff gave us the wrong room but it worked out. Couldn't close the curtains that looked over the river and market. I'm very particular about bathrooms, this one didn't make me feel the safest. Good thing is hotel will keep your luggage even after you've checked out so you can go hike Machu Picchu. It is also only 2 min from the bus stop for Machu Picchu.

This hotel is situated at the base of Machu Pichu in Aguas Calientes, the hotel was lovely and clean with big rooms, hot showers and sit down china toilets.now i may have over glamorised this hotel but we had just finished a 7 day trek where we lived in little tents with no showers and definatly no sit down china toilets. The town it's self is purpose built for the tourist trade with restaurants of diffrent standards and prices there is a great market for all your gifts and fridge magnets.

I have been to Aguas Calientes multiple times. This time I lead of trip with 14 people. I had blindly booked this hotel based on TA reviews.

We were met at the train station, led the 5-10 minutes to the hotel and easily checked in. Everything was just as planned. The rooms were very clean and pleasant. There is an odor of disinfectant, but better that than the alternative. Despite everyone taking showers the next day, the water pressure was good and the water hot. Breakfast was hearty and appropriate.

The hotel is about 3 minutes from the bus stop. We left all our bags at the hotel and had them delivered to the train station.

This is not a complaint, but be prepared for the front desk people speaking very little english.

Overall, I would definitely stay there again. In fact, I tried to book it again this year, but it was already full. Do not expect fancy. Expect excellent service, clean, convenient, and inexpensive.

We hadn't booked anything when we arrived at Aguas Calientes but found this hotel online and promptly walked in. The staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. The room we stayed in was comfortable, clean, tidy and spacious. There was one queen bed, and two singles in it. Also a great big cable tv, which was lovely to watch after a hard day's walking. We could hear the river running by at night which might be too noisy for some but we found it very relaxing.
There isn't a fan in the bathroom so the steam from the hot water doesn't really extract or go away due to the humid climate, which might be annoying for some people. You could maybe ask for an extra towel to wipe down the surfaces with...
Breakfast was ok, the usual standard in Peru and Bolivia, but there were some interesting extra items like pancakes, and flaky pastry twists. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, a pleasure to chat with. Overall, a pleasant surprise. We had a very comfortable couple of days here.

Just for an overnight stay, we didn't want to fuss around with anything fancy, so we picked this hotel. But the place and staff surprised us, the room was very clean and comfortable. Unlike some reviews, the sound from the river didn't bother us at all, perhaps because we closed the bathroom louvers. The staff were very helpful in every way, they sent someone to walk us from the station to the hotel, and they stored our bag even after we had checked out the next morning, while we visited Machu Picchu.

Only negative point is the water was not hot, but warm enough not to freeze.
