For what should be the main hub for West Africa, LOS has far less service options than other airports in far smaller countries on the continent - Accra and Nairobi being good examples. There used to be several options for food and drink landside at Lagos airport - Abibiz, a snack bar in the departures area and some chop bars downstairs. Now there's only one - Abibiz. And they know it - prices are outrageous. Food is fine with a reasonable choice, and service is good (apart from the bouncer at the door soliciting tips).
However, if you need to eat or drink and don't want to pay the high prices, wait until you get airside and use the café/bar on the other side - still overpriced, but not as bad as Abibiz.
