Owner description: Ojo de Agua is a Natural Spring swimming hole where you can swim and relax in clear, pure, medicinal and healthy fresh water of volcanic origin. This is a place to enjoy the environment surrounded by Nature with lots of birds, butterflies, squirrels, iguanas, and many trees all around. While you are here you can also have meals, cocktails or just coconut water, and you can have a banana tour or ride a horse. Welcome.

If you're looking to escape the heat, this rich mineral filled water hole is the place to go. Not only is it pretty and quite shaded, the water is a soothing 20c. which is about as good as it gets in +30-35c weather... Entrance fee is cheap, restaurant and facilities on site, what more could you ask for!!! Hope this review was helpful!!!

We enjoyed the bike ride here more than the pools itself. There are few things that feel natural about these pools, but the cold water was refreshing nonetheless. The very charismatic gentleman who was working at the entrance promised me that these magical waters would turn my husband into Brad Pitt and would return my skin to the youthful brilliance of my early twenties. Not surprisingly, these things did not happen.

Agua de Ojos is a series of natural spring pools. It is marketed as a sort of place "in nature", but the pools have been outlined with stones and there is a bar and cabana chairs, showers, etc. All of that is nice, it's just not an authentic natural spring surrounded by jungle and wildlife as some brochures lead you to believe.

If you like bats, stick around until twilight when hundreds come swooping down over the pools. It's kind of cool to see.

Great place to go for an hour or two with family or to cool off after a long day of biking or hiking. Easy to get to from Santa Cruz and Santo Domingo.

A must-do if you are going to Ometepe. Come here after a hot morning of hiking, biking, kayaking, whatever- you will be so happy. Crystal clear, cool water surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. When we were here, there was a baby monkey with it's mother up in the trees right above the pool. While this seems to be a main tourist attraction it was not too busy when we went, still relatively quiet and incredibly relaxing. If you need a beverage to go with it, grab a Coco Loco (local rum poured into a coconut) or a Toña from the locals. Enjoy!

Nice springs to take a dip in, but nothing too special compared to other springs throughout Central America. With all that Ometepe has to offer, not sure this would top my list, but its worth a visit if passing by and looking for something to do.
