The hotel is amazing: perfect location (inside the medina), wonderful building and rooms. On the roof there is a big beautiful terrace: a place to eat or relax with a view on the medina and the whole valley up to the El-Mansour Eddahbi reservoir.
Staff is extremely nice and helpful and the dinner was simply amazing.

Stayed here as part of a tour of Morocco and we arrived at Dar Kamar on Christmas Eve and spent one night there.

Every room is decorated differently as the photos show and our twin room was no exception; it was a nice size with comfortable beds and the complimentary water and peanuts are the small touches that make this hotel great. The ensuite was a good size - I did have to run the water for a while to get hot water, but it was fine after that. The hotel is an old courthouse, but has that riad feel to it (it's in amongst some of the smaller streets and looks plain from the outside) but is away from the noise of the main road.

Foodwise we didn't have dinner in the hotel itself, but instead walked into the town. We had breakfast up on the terrace on Christmas morning, which was amazing with the sun coming up and the freshly prepared and well selected food.

It's impossible to stay here without mentioning Mohammed, who must be the hardest working man in Morocco and for whom nothing is too much trouble - he also speaks excellent English, French and Spanish.

Overall for me, this was the best hotel I stayed in during my Moroccan tour and I wouldn't bother looking for anywhere else to stay were I to return to Ouarzazate in the future.

We stayed one night at Dar Kamar on our way to the desert. It is definitely the best place to stay in Ouazazate. It is a little way out of the town centre in the Kasbah. There isn't much to see in the centre of town so you aren't missing out! Mohamed was a great host and took us on a walk round the kasbah before dinner, we got to see so many things that we could never have done on our own. The rooms are great, really romantic and there is a fabulous roof terrace, sadly it was too cold for us to have breakfast up there but there are still great views from the dining room. Would definitely recommend.

I hope the Title is correct, as i am referring to the small roads inside the old town...

We where traveling back home , and had to find a hotel for Overnight as our flight out was the next day...
As we where standing in this small parking lot, outside the medina, this kids approached us and asked to help us for a small fee to Cary luggage ...
While we where going down this really small alley , i wasn't so sure anymore if we made the right CHOICE! ..and when arriving at the door nothing could have prepared me for what was waiting for me inside...

Really stylish Hotel, helpfull staff...Amazing building...But the BEST WAS the TERRACE..
...wont say more , you should Try it for yourself....

Really enjoyed my stay....all though the small and dark alleys SCARED my wife!!
I juts have to say its A PERL INSIDE, dont let the outside spoil it!!!!

We made a roundtrip for 8 days in Morocco. We also stayed at Dar Kamar in Quarzazate. Our opinion is very sinple and clear:
It's a perfect location in an atmospheric area. The rooms are very good and clean.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull. He (mohammed) leaded us through the kasbah and has given us a lot of helpfull information about the route and sightseeing places for our trip to Merzouga.
The dinner and breakfast were very good. Especially the breakfast was overwhelming.
It was one of the best accomodations where we stayed in this roundtrip.
So we can really recommend this accomodation

We only stayed at dar Kamar for one night on our way towards the desert from Marrakech but could easily have stayed here longer. Lovely accommodation within Kasbah in converted court house. Unbelievably helpful manager Mohammed who rejuvenated our souls after somewhat trying time with staff hiking in the Atlas mountains. bent over backwards to help.

View from terrace fabulous over Kasbah/ nesting storks. Highly recommended.
