can't really fault this place. Renovated beautifully, staff wonderful and accommodating and food was fresh and tasty. Loved the pool!
Beds were very hard but hey you must remember you are in Morocco. All things considered it was a really wonderful stay

We spent one brief night in the Dar Chamaa and thuroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived after dark and after a long drive from two nights in the desert. What we wanted was a comfortable room, a hot shower, and a good meal. The Dar Chamaa exceeded our expectations. (Frankly, this is one of those cases where the photos on Trip Advisor don't show the true charm of a hotel.) The staff at Dar Chamaa were warm and welcoming and showed us to our spacious room with minimal paperwork. The main lobby and courtyard have a clean, simple elegance. The artwork and lighting add nice layers of detail that are calming. Our room and bathroom were spacious, and the air conditioning cooled us down nicely. (One note is that the A.C. only works with a card key inserted, so the room can be warm and stuffy on first entering.) We didn't swim, but we did sit out by the pool after dark and found the grassy grounds to be a pleasant change after being in the desert.

We ate dinner at the hotel, and our meal was good hearty moroccan food. We thuroughly enjoyed the meal. Breakfast the next morning was a simple spread, but perfect before hitting the road.

One caution. This hotel is not in the heart of Ouazazate, so if you were staying here for more than a night and wanted to walk around, you may find this a bit isolated. For us, we drove in and drove out, so it was perfect. There are a couple of shops a short distance away, but I would still caution about using this hotel as a base for walking to explore Ouarzazate.

We stay there before traveling to merzouga, we found it completely by accident and it was a great surprise.
The manager knows a lot about the desert, and he was really kind on helping us in our way to the desert.
The place has the perfect mix between a modern hotel and the morocan tradition.

Room Tip: The view to the swiming pool with the sunset is great, the best pictures of the trip

Spent 3 nights here whilst exploring ouarzazate, zagora and the draa valley. This is a great place to chill out after a hard day in 38 degrees of heat. Sitting by the pool in the evenings was a fantastic way to unwind and cool down. The rooms are modern and fairly minimalist, but very comfortable and perfect for relief from the harsh environment, with the air con essential. Hamid and his staff are brilliant, cheerful, hospitable and eager to help out with anything - Hamid himself sorted out our expedition south through the draa to tinfou. Breakfast is good, although the only point for improvement is the dinner - although good in terms if volume and value for money, quality could be better. Bar is well stocked, casablanca beer is very good. Overall a lovely place to stay, no doubt better than some of the larger chain hotels in the local area, and really good value for money - cheaper than other local options that are clearly inferior. If I ever head back this way, this is where I'll be staying.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the pool, preferably in the corners as they are larger.

What a lovely hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer. But a short pit stop on our way to Marrakech.

The hotel lobby is amazing, the rooms beautiful and very comfy. And the food and service great. We stayed here after a night staying in the desert and was so happy to arrive to find a lovely hotel. The pool looked very inviting after being on the road on a long day. But we arrived quite late and after dinner decided to just sit and have a few night caps instead.

I stayed here after a night staying in a very hot desert and was so happy to arrive to find a lovely hotel. The staff are lovely and welcoming, the rooms were clean, modern & comfortable with an amazing shower & great air con! The meals are included and are huge! The wait staff spoke so many languages and were so friendly, I was very impressed. The pool area was also a nice way to col down after a long day on the road.

We spent the night here on our way to Erg Chebbi. There is not much to speak of in the town of Quarzazate but we found great comfort in just sitting by the pool and having a drink as it was over 100 degrees. A true oasis from the heat. Dar Chamaa is simply but elegantly decorated and very clean. The friendly staff could not have worked harder to make our stay comfortable and pleasurable. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: As other reviewers have mentioned, ask for another key to keep the air conditioning on. I used an i...
