The Oasis Fint and Auberge La Terrasse des Delices was great. Thanks to Rachid and his family for good food, the live music and the Berber-dancing in the night and the fantastic, private walk in the mountains. We will also thank Hassan our excellent driver who picked us up at Auberge La Rose Noire in Ouarzazate and also took us for a ride to Ait Ben Haddou.
We will highly recommend this oasis to other Norwegians and anyone seeking authentic Morocco. We’ll be back one day!

My husband and I stayed at the Auberge La Terrasse des Delices for two wonderful nights in February 2011 and consider it one of our highlights of Morocco. Rashid, his father and the staff are all wonderful people who go out of there way to make you feel at home and make sure you have a wonderful time. Very personable service in an amazing location, excellent views, great hiking, personable service and a peak into authentic Morocco. I would not hesitate to go back in a heart beat. If you like things a little off the beaten track and are looking for a bit of relaxing seclusion after the madness of Marrakesh, do yourself a favour and go here. The food is really great too!

If you are arriving by bus, let them know ahead of time and they will come pick you up.

This is a wonderful place to stay, and although comfortable and clean,it is first and foremost an experience which is about people, landscape and lifestyle not about facilities and luxury.
Rachid and his family are such delightful people and run the guest house as if you are family rather than customers.Rachid's father greets you every morning, mealtime and evening in his warm and friendly way and that in its self is worth staying for,let alone the hearty and good food and the beautiful and utterly peaceful views from the terrace. In the oasis, the simple rythyms of everyday life go on, women washing clothes in the river, donkeys braying, bread being made in the clay ovens, children playing football.
If your nerves are jangled by the usual western pressures this is the place to come to recover your sanity and to move at a slower pace enjoying the beauty of the place and the ability to interact with the people, ownners and guests who you will meet there.
In the grey skies of England I can still see the light on the hills above the oasis, hear the frogs croaking in the river and see the almond blossom humming with bees in February.I wont let that image fade for long-I will be back, hopefully next year-you should go too.

My friend and I made a last minute decision to check out the Auberge for one night instead of heading Towards Essaouira. We ended up staying for 3 nights!
Rachid picked us up from the bus station in Ouarzazette. After some welcoming tea, we set about for a small hike around the area. Next day we decided to Go
for for the full day hike which was simply an amazing day. The oasis is surrounded by mountains with fantastic views of atlas and anti- atlas mountains. It was simply amazing scenery. Also great that you don't see any tourist, only local Berber villagers and animals. Nights were spent watching and learning to cook Berber tagine and couscous, playing drums and dancing. In the mornings we watched the villagers bake bread in he woodfire ovens. All the activities and dinner were included in the lodging price. Rachid also organized a trip to the desert on short notice and drove with us in the rental car. The hospitaliy from him and his family made the visit truely memorable. Highly recommend for at least 2 nights so that you can spend full day hiking in the area.

While in the Kasbah Itran we met someone who recommended La Terrasse des Delices to us. We only had a very small car and began to wonder if we would make it. We needn't have worried, the road looked worse than it was and we had no problem.

We arrived and immediately fell in love with this beautiful oasis. The little village, the children, the palmery, the little river and the rocky hills around all pulled together to set the atmosphere.

Dinner was excellent and plentiful as were the breakfasts (with freshly baked flat breads) and they even served us lunch at our request. We had little time left and spent only two nights (one full day) here. It was one of the two or three special finds for us in Morocco.
